"Margot check your pasta to see if it's ready. Tito is almost done with the steak. El is the rice done? Ari's bringing the dessert. Maddi make sure the wine is chilled enough. Okay everything looks good." Shana said as she set the table at Eliot, Margot, and Maddi's Manhattan apartment in which everyone referred to as The Purlieu.
"Ma, I don't know why you're doing all of this, it's just Anthony." Eliot whined.
"El he could be the one to give me my first grandbaby, he needs a warm welcome into this family."
"Oou I wish Aria was here to hear you say that mom. She'd lose her mind." Maddi laughed.
"I'm just saying, if anything, I feel like he should be the one cooking us dinner to impress us if he wants in on this family." Eliot said placing the wine glasses down around the table.
"Eliot's right. But I mean, he did woo Aria enough to get into her pants so that's impressive enough for me." Margot blurted casually.
"It's about damn time." Shana laughed.
The transparency within their family was very strong, and probably strange to others. But it was a family of love without judgement. Mistakes were always lessons, never failures. Communication was key, never a fault.

Today was the first time that I missed one of Anthony's games. I was busy preparing dessert and some appetizers for tonight's grand dinner at the Purlieu.

Margot facetimed me earlier and everyone there was running around like a madman. I really appreciate all the effort everyone's putting into this although it's really just my mom forcing everyone to be extra.
I think Anthony will love my family and vice versa. My dad will give him a hard time but all in good fun. He's been watching Ant's games although he's a big Giants fan being born and raised in the Bay.
A notification popped up on my phone that the Mets had scored a run. I was watching it on tv earlier but had to turn it off because I was getting nothing done. Also because Anthony wasn't doing so well. He's 0-4 right now with 2 strikeouts. Yikes. I really hope those numbers have nothing to do with the fact that I'm not there, or because of a really big dinner he has tonight.
