The Yankees won and Anthony played a damn good game. I was so proud to call him my... erm, well friend of course. He continued to shower me with attention throughout the night in which I equally returned. After the game I could see his parents hovering near the dugout waiting for him, so I left and figured he would call or text me when he could.
We got to the bar and start ordering our drinks. Shots of Patron silver, our go-to to start off the night whenever we go out. Except this one will be my first and last for the night. I still haven't told them that Anthony asked me to hang out after. Mainly because I know they'd be giving me shit nonstop about it all night and I wanted to enjoy the game in peace lol.
"Okay wait how the fuck are we getting home tonight?" Margot being Margot. She's like the head bitch in our group of friends. Every group of friends needs a Margot. Margot gets shit done. I mean obviously, I am a prime example of that. I have been single for 2.5 years and now all of a sudden Anthony fucking Volpe is texting me. Because I'll tell you right now, I would not have initiated a single thing with him even given the opportunity like that. Hence why I've been single for so long. Margot knew, so she took action.
"I'll drive us home." I say with my hand out waiting to cheers with my shot in my hand.
They all give me a look like I was crazy. I was the very one who wanted to come here and wouldn't stop bugging them about the crazy drinks they have here that I wanted to try. They also know how much I enjoyed nights out drinking with them.
"I'll take this one shot and have water the rest of the night, I swear."
"Okaaay... but why? You never volunteer to dsquare?" Eliot said.
Maddi laughed out loud. "Cause she's tryna get some Volpe D tonight." It's hilarious how Maddi knew. She is pretty much the slut in our group and I say that respectively. Madds is one of those women who isn't ashamed of her sexuality nor any aspect of it. I admire her for her openness to it all. For example, my bodycount is embarassingly low because if I don't feel a connection with the person I can't open up to them, like literally lol. I guess it doesn't help that while I was single I hated the world and didn't want to even date because guys are all assholes who cheat. I think from that statement alone you can kind of guess what happened in my previous (and only) relationship.
The other two let out happy "ohhhhh's" and it was annoying but funny.
"Well in that case, I need to make a toast. To Bambi, we 100% support you getting laid tonight by your dream guy. And finally kissing three long painful years of celibacy goodbye. We hope that he saves a seat for you on his face, and that his cock is big enough to make you gag before swallowing all of his childrens." Eliot said with a serious face and I expected nothing less from him. I shoot him an unamused look and he gives me a gentle smile.
"Amen! Cheers to Volpe dick!" Margot shouted and Maddi repeated, then Eliot repeated. Omg.
"Oh my god, shutup! Just shutup and take the fucking shot." I mumble under my breath trying to get them to be quiet because they're shouting his name too fucking loud. I cannot with them. My phone beeps right before we can take the shot and it's Anthony, so of course this shot is now put on hold. I put the glass down and hear them groan in annoyance.

"So what's up with elevator girl bro?" Austin asked Anthony in the clubhouse.
"It's funny that's what everyone calls her." Anthony chuckled. "But I think we're gonna hang out after.."
"Reeeeallly?" Austin raised an eyebrow with a smirk on his face.
Anthony's cheeks grew pink. "Don't do that," he laughed.
"What? I'm not doing anything. I'm happy for you bro. She's beautiful."
"She's unbelievably hot Aus. I can't even begin to tell you how nervous I am."
"Apparently she's already in love with you so I don't think you have much to worry about Ant. Just be yourself." He swung one arm around Anthony's neck as they continued to walk.
"Yeah, thanks man. I don't even know what I'm expecting out of tonight but we'll see."
Anthony appreciated having someone like Austin. Judge and the other guys were fun and cool, but Austin shared many similarities with Anthony. They could always relate to each other on a level Anthony couldn't with the other guys on the team.
Juan and Aaron approached the two with sneaky faces. "Whats the move AV?" Judge asked.
"Uhh I got dinner with my family at that one italian place. Then...yeah.." Anthony couldnt hold back the smile their faces were giving him.
"What time were you gonna be back at the hotel?" Judge asked. Juans smile grew bigger. Austin stood there watching the most awkward conversation ever, and now found himself smiling too. Anthony was trying his hardest not to laugh.
"Not sure yet, why?" Anthony played along.
"Setting up the game tonight. Either the show or cod. I'll hit you up to see where you're at."
Anthony knew something was up just by the looks on their faces but he didn't mind. This was the balance the team brought him. Good natured support from those like Austin, and good times and mischief from guys like Judge.
"Cool, I'll let you guys know man." Knowing damn well he wasn't telling anyone a damn thing. Not even Austin.
