Anthony woke to the sounds of Aria's soft snores which he found incredibly adorable. He snuggled up closer to her before placing a kiss on her head.
Today was an early game and the last one of the series. He laid there thinking about what's to come. He felt a pinch in his chest knowing that tomorrow would be a different city, in a different hotel, in a different bed, without the comfort of her. Not just her sex, but all of her. Where will she be when he leaves? When would he see her again? Will he see her again?
He stopped himself because the questions were escalating quickly.
He jumped into the shower as quiet as possible. Still processing everything that happened last night, this whole weekend, and before that. Coming into this series he never imagined he'd be showering after a night of sex with a girl he just met, whose still in his bed, who he may never see again. Has he become one of them? Like Judge and Stanton and the other guys? The shower was supposed to help him shake the questions and scary thoughts but it's not working.
