With her heart forming a lump in her throat, Amelia set out to find Alex and Owen.  Preferably at different times, preferably not together, preferably sometime today.  She had screwed up, and big time.  And now, as always, she had to put the pieces back together of the beautiful thing she had destroyed.  Thankfully, Amelia had a light day.  There was one neuro trauma that she quickly fixed up; her patient now in post op.  On her schedule were two aneurisms, which she clipped with ease.  Now, the whole rest of her day was open.  She planned on using it to track down Owen and Alex.

Karev was right where Amelia expected him to be; at the nurses station in the pediatric wing.

"Doctor Karev," Amelia said, awkwardly walking towards Alex with her hands in her pockets.  It was a nervous habit that she had quickly taken comfort to.

"Doctor Shepherd," Alex looked up at her, made eye contact, then back down at his charts.

"About what you saw in the -" Amelia was cut off.

"I know what you're going to say.  Don't worry Shepherd, I won't tell anyone," Alex said with exasperation.  He had done this so many times before, this was just another trip around the block.

"Thanks... I really appreciate it," Amelia said as her hands twisted from within her pockets.

"Dude, don't worry about it.  So what if the whole hospital knows you're doing the Chief?" Alex didn't see why Amelia was making such a big deal about it.

"It would not be good," Amelia spoke with ice in her voice.  Alex picked up on it and physically took a step to the side.

Amelia started to walk away and then remembered that Karev was not alone when he walked in on the pair. "If you could have Wilson not say anything either, that would be great."

"Look, I don't know what's going on between you and the Chief, and I really don't give a crap.  But I can't tell Jo what to say.  That's your job," Alex wished Amelia would just leave.  Every time she spoke, he saw the image of her and the Chief together in bed and Alex didn't want to be reminded of that.

Alex saw Amelia lingering.  "I have patients," he said, and left.  Amelia was then left alone on the peds floor.

Now, she had to find Wilson.  The easiest way to do that, was send a page.  Amelia paged Wilson to the neuro office.  While she waited, Amelia reviewed some of her aneurism patient's scans.  They were clear with minimal bleeding.  That was exactly what she wanted.  As she was examining the frontal lobe of her trauma patient, Jo Wilson appeared in the doorway.

"You paged me Doctor Shepherd?" Jo's eyes flitted around the room.  There were no scans on the screen and Amelia's papers were organized neatly on her desk.  Immediately, Jo knew that the page had nothing to do with a patient.  The office was always a mess when Amelia was working on a case.

"Yes!" Amelia stood, her hands finding their way into the pockets of her lab coat.  "I just want to ask you something.  Could you not tell anyone about what you saw today in the on call room?"

"Why would I say anything?" Jo had a confused and almost annoyed look on her face.

"I don't know, but it happens all the time in this hospital.  Gossip spreads like wildfire," Amelia's eyes darkened at the thought of the whole hospital knowing she was screwing the Chief of Surgery.

Jo nodded. "Doctor Hunt already told me not to say anything.  Don't worry, your secret is safe with me."

Amelia's breath caught in her throat and she felt as if the wind had been knocked out of her.  Owen had already tried to keep their incident under wraps.  What did this mean? Even Jo noticed the change in her body language; it was obvious.
