"Oh my-how could I do such a thing to him" Chase said in shock
Chases stomach then started to turn at the thought of him and Everest being together he almost gagged at the thought "I have to talk to him" Chase said turning around and walking to Marshall's puphouse once he got to Marshall's puphouse he knocked anxiously
"Open up man" Chase said
"What do you want..." Marshall said opening his door
"I came to talk bro..." Chase said with a frown looking at the ground
"Ahh....I guess you figured it out huh detective" Marshall said with an evil smile
"Yes I did and look I'm sorry okay I can't explain how sorry I am I was caught up with Skye and...I wasn't thinking...and now that I realize what I did...everything just is completely backwards right now...look I know you won't forgive me but I just want you to know I'm truly sorry bro" Chase said
"Huh I guess Everest was right" Marshall muttered
"Huh?" Chase asked not hearing what Marshall said
"Wha-oh...nothing" Marshall said
Marshall didn't want to forgive Chase but he looked at Chase for second and he couldn't stay mad at him....then he nodded "yes bro you're right Im not gonna forgive you...just yet...look...am I still mad at you? No im not...but am I upset with you? Yes...look just gimme some time and I'll forgive you...but not fully if you want that...you know what you have to do..." Marshall said then he closed his door before Chase could say anything
"I'll find a way to fix it..." Chase said loud enough for Marshall to hear...which he did
Chase then walked away "well at least he called me bro" he said while walking away with a frown
"I know what I have to do" Chase said
"I need to break up with Everest..." Chase said with a straight face
*Meanwhile inside the lookout*
Everest was sitting on a beanbag alone in the living room she was thinking about all the things Marshall told her earlier she then looked in the wall to her left and saw a picture of Marshall she quickly looked away and blushed "I...think I kinda like Marshall more then a friend..." she said
"But what will Chase think..." Everest said
"Ugh what should I do..." Everest said burying her face in her paws
"Well I'd say that you follow your heart Everest..." a voice said
Everest instantly recognized the voice it was rocky
"What are you talking about?" Everest lied trying to play dumb
"Come on Everest I heard everything" Rocky said annoyed seeing right through her lie
"Ugh okay you caught me heh" Everest said with a sad smile
"So...you wanna talk about it?" Rocky asked
"I guess so..." Everest replied
"Alrighty then..." rocky said as he began to sit down onto a beanbag
"So tell me everything.." Rocky said squinting his eyes slightly
"Well I like chase...but then I somehow started to like Marshall...I don't know what to do I wanna be with Marshall but I don't wanna hurt chases feelings and I wanna be with Chase but I don't wanna hurt Marshall's feelings...I don't know Rocky.." Everest said
"Mmm hmm...I see...well like I said follow your heart" Rocky said
"I don't know what my heart thinks!" Everest said putting her paws in her face
"Everest...calm down and...think not with your mind but with your heart..." Rocky said
"How the heck do I-" she was cut off by rocky
"Just do it..." rocky said
Everest sighed and closed her eyes and cleared her thoughts as much as possible for a moment she then began to think....she thought about what would happen if she stayed with Chase suddenly she saw a vision of her and Chase together happy but Marshall and some black silhouette of a smaller looking pup was miserable she then started to think about what would happen if she broke up with Chase and got with Marshall....she then saw another vision of her and Marshall together happy but Chase...wasn't sad he was smiling...Everest then saw a black silhouette of a smaller looking pup leaning onto Chase
Everest gasped a little and opened her eyes and looked at Rocky who was smiling at her
"So...Made up your mind?" Rocky asked with a smile
"Y-Yeah thanks for helping me Rocky" Everest said patting him the shoulder and trotting outside
Everest then looked around for chase and once she saw him she walked over to him "hey Chase"
"Oh hey Everest" Chase said
"I need to tell you something" Chase and Everest said in unison
"You first.." Everest said
"No...you first" Chase said
"Okay fine..." Everest said
