🍅: This is probably going to be my longest chapter also some time skips, Im writing this in class and I'm really tired so I'm trying to just finish this story.
We time skip to when Kaveh can walk better, he still can't walk properly but he needs to be able for this last bit 😍.
Kaveh Pov:
We walk down a path, a very familiar path. Finally, I was back in Sumeru City! It has felt like forever. Haitham hasn't said a word since he picked me up. Tighnari and Cyno were going into the desert today, but Tighnari said that I should go back home. It makes sense for Haitham to bring me home, we do live together, I'm glad to be going home. Even though the routine we have may be annoying and tedious, it's nice to know that Haitham will be there at least most of the time. We reach the door of our house, I expect Haitham to open the door, but he turns to me and says something. "Kaveh, you always complained about me taking your keys so here." He grabs out a pair of keys with matching key rings, one of a Golden pheasant and one an Eagle. He hands me the Golden pheasant and goes to unlock the door as I inspect the key. Every feather is made of different gems some I recognize only being found in places like Natlan and Inazuma. The bird seemed to be positioned strangely, only did I realize why it was like that when I held it up and Haitham did as well making them appear to fit together in a heart shape. "Kaveh, are you coming inside or not?" He speaks. "How expensive was this?" I respond. He sighs and grabs my hand pulling me inside. He shuts the door before looking at me to respond. "Half a million Mora, they were custom designed." He says that so nonchalantly as if that was a small number! "Half a MILLION!?" I yell. "I- I can't pay you back that much!" He sighs again louder this time and turns to the kitchen. "Well then it's a good thing I don't expect, or want you, to pay me back." He shrugs. "Now come over here, you probably haven't eaten anything today? That was a long way to walk, you need to rest." I walk over and was going to start preparing things to cook when he stops me. "I just said you need to rest." I start to protest but he cuts me off. I sit down defeat and watch as Haitham cooks. He places down two bowls of soup on the table. Soup? "Don't you hate soup?" I ask. "The taste is alright; soup is annoying to eat while reading that's all. I'm not reading though." He responds. I nod in confusion and pick up the spoon.
Epic time skip
"Are you sure?" Haitham ask me for the 12th time. "It can wait, we can go later." I sigh and stand up. "Haitham I am perfectly fine; we can go wherever you wanted. And when did you care so much about me?" I mumble that last part. He grabs my hand and leads me to the door, I don't even pay attention to him talking, I'm only focused on him holding my hand. The last time he held my hand, we were staring at death right below us, though this time we didn't need to be worried, we're just going for a walk.
We finally reached our destination; it was late at night but Mawtiyima Forest glows, so it isn't that dark. Haitham walks a little bit ahead, it feels like I haven't been here in years, probably because I haven't. This place is so beautiful, why do my clients want boring dumb houses based on rocks and sand when there's places like this? Whatever I should focus on Haitham...? And he's gone. I sigh, putting my head in my hands.
"What are you worried about know? Can you just enjoy this time? For me?"
I perk up, looking at him.
"Uh- I'm not worried... I'm just tired..."
He walks over to me and pulls me into a hug.
"Idiot... I told you that we shouldn't have come out here if you're tired."
When saying this he picks me up and starts walking towards the center of the forest.
In the middle there was a small bouquet of flowers on the floor, he puts me down and picks up the bouquet.
"Kaveh... I wanted to ask you something."
His face was bright red. I could tell what he was going to ask me.
"I- I haven't been the nicest too you... I know, but... I love you."
He hands me the bouquet.
I pull him into a kiss.
"I love you too, idiot." <3
