Al Haitham Pov:
I could see the sandstorm getting worse, now was no time to fight. Kaveh had seemed to quiet down and was staring at the floor, he appeared quite worried. The storm was too close we wouldn't be able to make it back to Caravan Ribat, let alone our house back in Sumeru city, we have to find somewhere to stay till the storm is over.
"We can't get back now, let's find some where to hide, be careful of quicksand." I said whilst turning around. I started to take a step when Kaveh grabbed onto my arm. I turned to look at him and tell him to let me go when I was met with a pair of teary eyes. I pulled him into an embrace.
This wasn't normal behavior for me, but I knew why he was upset, he needs to understand he didn't kill his father. He was shocked by this action but hugged me back pressing his face into my shoulder, I could feel his tears seep into the fabric of my shirt. He looked up at me as he spoke.
"Can we find somewhere closer to stay? Please yo- we could get hurt." I sighed and looked at his shiny red eyes.
"Where could we go, there's barely anything around here."
