MIKHA'S POV
I was walking the hallway together with a bunch of students from different departments and years.
I have this odd feeling again. I don't know kung kinakabahan ako dahil maraming tao or naiirita ako dahil sa ingay nila.
I enrolled for a Psychology course. Bata pa lang ako, masyado na akong curious sa mga bagay-bagay. I've always been curious about how people think and why they behave the way they do.
It's ironic dahil hindi ako masyadong fan of interaction with other people, but I'm fascinated by the irony of it all.
It's like being a mechanic who doesn't drive—I'm curious about how minds work, even if I'd rather not engage with them too much.
Understanding people's thoughts and behaviors from a distance has its own appeal, like being a quiet observer in a complex, ongoing play.
Plus, who knows? Maybe figuring out how others think will help me handle interactions more smoothly when I have to.
I looked around Binivelle University and saw how big and modern it is. Kada isang building buildings has ten floors, each with five different departments.
I also noticed many intercom systems along the hallways, making it easy to hear announcements everywhere.
Tanaw ko rin ang field dito at ‘yong auditorium na may kalakihan, and there are three cafeterias around the school.
Nagulat naman ako ng biglang tumunog ang intercom.
A soft yet authoritative voice came through the intercom system.
"Attention, freshman students. Please head to the Student Hall for your orientation, starting in ten minutes. It’s important to be on time to receive essential information for your first year. Thank you."
As the voice faded, my phone rang. It was Ate Colet.
"Hello Miks? Where are you?" she asked na medyo kabado.
She's overacting again.
"I'm on my way to the Student Hall." I replied at nag simula mag lakad papuntang student hall.
"I just heard the announcement." I added.
"Good."
"I'll meet you there to help you get settled, kasama ko pa sila Jho." Dagdag n'ya.
"Ate Colet naman, I can manage, don't worry about me and you're on second year na kaya pumasok ka na sa class mo." Pag tanggi ko.
Jhoanna and I are both first-year students pa lang, ahead samin si Gwen and Ate Colet ng isang taon.
"Okay, okay pero hatid ko lang si Jhoanna."
I didn't reply and ended the call.
I know she's just concerned pero she's overacting.
I already asked them kanina na pretend they don't know me, and besides, pag pasok ko pa lang ng gate I already heard the rumors circulating about them.
I sighed and quickened my pace toward the Student Hall at ng makarating ako ay nag hanap agad ng pwedeng upuan.
The Student Hall was spacious, with high ceilings and large windows letting in natural light, making the room feel even more intimidating.
There were some students on stage, likely officers, talking animatedly about something.
