MIKHA'S POV

Hingal na hingal ako nang makarating ako sa room namin dahil kakamadali ko.

When I entered the classroom I looked around for a vacant seat and to my luck, puno na naman 'yong upuan sa hulihan kaya I don't have a choice but to sit in the front.

I started walking towards the vacant seat without minding the looks from my blockmates.

"Hindi ba siya naiinitan?"

"What a nerd."

"Weird."

I heard them whispering.

Ang tanga nila sa part na bumulong pa sila pero rinig na rinig ko.

Ironic.

I don't mind them cause I don't give a fuck anyways.

I'm excited for my prof to arrive. I'm just manifesting it na sana matino mag turo.

The door suddenly opened, revealing our Student Council President while carrying a laptop and the book I had grabbed earlier before being dragged to their office by the auditor.

"Siya ba ang prof natin?"

"Parang estudyante lang din ah."

"At least, cute siya."

I heard my blockmates whispering, probably as curious as I was why Mama Mary was the one entering our class instead of our professor.

Umupo siya sa mesa at nag-adjust ng kanyang laptop bago nagsalita.

"Good morning, everyone. I'm Maraiah Queen Arceta, your Student Council President, and I'll be your substitute teacher for today since Professor Javier is currently unavailable." She smiled warmly.

It made sense.

Kaya ata she's asking me kanina what's my block and course cause she's the one who handled us for awhile.

She's really talented, huh? How can she handle being a student, student leader, and a substitute teacher at the same time?

And I observed na she's always smiling, parang walang dinadalang problema eh.

Based on what I noticed about her too, she's really the approachable type.

I watched how she answered the questions of my blockmates without the smiles leaving her lips.

"Let's start by getting to know each other." she continued.

"Please introduce yourself, say your name, and something interesting about you."

Nagsimula na ang mga kaklase ko magpakilala isa-isa.

Nearly everyone shared their hobbies and some even mentioned their ambitions.

When it was my turn, I stood up.

"Hi, I'm Mikhaela Janna Lim." I quickly sat back down.

Aiah smiled and asked.

"Nothing interesting about you?"

I just shook my head.

"Okay, thank you, Mikha." Aiah continued with the next student.

THIRD PERSON'S POV

Aiah's smile widened with genuine interest.

"Nothing interesting about you?"

Mikhaela shook her head, avoiding eye contact.

"Okay, thank you, Mikha." Aiah continued with the next student, but her thoughts lingered on Mikhaela.
