ACT TWO ; PART ONE
"Adepti and More Lore"

Moon Carver, Mountain Shaper, Cloud Retainer, and Xiao. Those were the Adepti the four were to visit. It took a while to reach Moon Carver.

"And who might we be? Those that dare enter Jueyun Karst?" the Adepti asked.

"We were sent here," Kaveh told him, a bit scared because it's an adepti, for fuck's sake!

"Kaveh," Lumine whispered. "The sigil!

"Please take a look at this," he quickly said, showing the Sigil of Permission.

"A Sigil of Permission... Many a season has passed since one was last in the presence of such an item. He before you is the mighty and illuminated adeptus, Moon Carver. Speak, old friend. What business have you here?"

"Old friend? Is he referring to Kaveh as an old friend" Azrael asked Ryu.

"Huh, he is. Maybe Kaveh got the rewrite treatment and now he's much more integrated into the history of Teyvat," he said.

Kaveh looked confused. "Uh... actua—"

"It's the assassins! They dared to flee here to Jueyun Karst!" a Millelith Sergeant suddenly yelled, appearing behind the group.

"Sir, we've already stepped too far into Jueyun Karst ourselves..." a soldier told him.

"We... Argh, there's no choice. Apprehending the assassins are top priority, we must press on!"

"Ugh, don't they know there's an Adepti right here?! How disrespectful!" Kaveh complained, summoning Mehrak.

"One agrees. See them gone. One will not have interruption," Moon Carver ordered.

A barrier formed in a circle, and the group felt a surge of energy. Their floating companions (sans Mehrak) went to their respective sub dimensions, and they striked.

Kaveh told Mehrak to scan the enemies and channeled his vision through the suitcase as they did so. He rolled his sleeves up and ordered Mehrak to act as a catalyst to his attacks, infusing his fists and feet with dendro.

He punched a soldier out cold, then used vines to boost himself as he jumped, dodging an attack, before landing back down.

"Ahh... if only I could make bloom cores," he complained, then elbowed a soldier who had tried to attack him from behind in the face and kicked another in front of him in the stomach then grabbed his head and slammed it on his knee, discarding the soldier's body quickly.

He twisted his body and ducked, dodging a strike from a soldier behind him and letting it hit the one in front of him. He grabbed the soldier's ankle and pulled, letting Mehrak get a hold of his ankle as Kaveh let go, and knocked out the last of his enemies.

Mehrak launched the soldier over to a random direction, making him hit his head in the barrier.

Over to Ryu's side, once his battle started, he jumped back, boosted by his anemo powers, and grabbed a spear from his inventory. He swirled it around his fingers and spun around, injuring the enemies. He slammed the polearm down, and an AoE geo attack was summoned, with geo crystals raining down on the soldiers.

He hummed to himself, creating a geo pillar for him to stand on and grabbed his bow, desummoning the polearm, aiming down and creating an anemo black hole, which Venti had taught him while on the way back from getting the teardrop crystal.

He just barely dodged a soldier that had suddenly flew past him, bashing his head against the wall.

He just moved his gaze to Kaveh, who sheepishly smiled at him.
