Its agonizingly slow, painful. I'm waiting, still waiting. For you to come back, I'm still hoping that you'd come back and say, Say you feel the same about me, Like I do, I'm hoping that you'd say you love me too, like I love you.
~ Lee Heeseung

Heeseung had gone out of his way to reach out to Nina every day, hoping to catch a glimpse of her. After exams, he'd wait for her, waking up extra early, but his eyes would droop closed before he even saw her. He called her several times, sent texts, but toned it down, thinking she was busy preparing for exams and not wanting to disturb her.
Despite his efforts, he heard nothing from her. The silence was deafening, and Heeseung's heart ached with every passing day. He stopped taking care of himself, his eyes sunken, with dark bags under them. His once bright and cheerful face now looked pale and gaunt, his body physically thin from lack of sleep and appetite.
Heeseung's usual enthusiasm and energy were nowhere to be found. He was a shadow of his former self, his big, adorable eyes now dull and lifeless. He had lost interest in everything, his only focus on waiting for Nina's response, his heart desperate for her attention.
When Nina finally called, Heeseung's voice was strained, his tone flat, his energy depleted. He had been waiting for so long, his body and mind exhausted from the emotional rollercoaster he had been on. "Yeah, I'm free," he said, his voice barely above a whisper, his eyes fixed on the floor, his heart still heavy with pain and longing.
Heeseung's eyes were fixed on the floor, his back against the wall as he sat in the music room, his phone still clutched in his hand. He had been waiting for what felt like an eternity for Nina to reach out to him, and when she finally did, his heart skipped a beat.
But the pain and desperation that had been building up inside him for weeks threatened to consume him. He felt like he was drowning in his own emotions, unable to escape the darkness that had settled over him.
When Nina's voice came through the phone, it was like a lifeline, a glimmer of hope in the midst of his despair. Heeseung's voice was strained, devoid of life, because he had no energy left to pretend, no strength to argue.
He had been waiting for her, desperate to hear her voice, to see her face, to hold her in his arms. But now that she had finally reached out, he couldn't muster up the energy to do anything but sit there, broken and battered.
"I'm already here," he said, his voice barely above a whisper, when Nina asked him to meet her in the music room. He didn't have the strength to move, to get up and face her. All he could do was wait, hopelessly, for her to come to him.
Heeseung's days had become a blur of exhaustion and longing. He woke up every morning at the crack of dawn to practice with his band, pouring his heart and soul into the music that had once brought him so much joy. But now, it felt like a chore, a distraction from the ache in his heart.
