I've learned to wear a mask, to hide the cracks in my soul. But sometimes, in the silence of the night, I hear the whispers of my heart, begging to be free. I've been living a lie, pretending to be someone I'm not. But the truth is, I'm tired of hiding, tired of being a ghost in my own life.

Heeseung slipped into Nina's dorm room, the silence of the Sunday morning enveloping him like a shroud. The others were still away, and Nina lay sleeping, unaware of his presence. Heeseung's eyes locked onto her peaceful form, and he felt his stiff body relax, his exhaustion momentarily forgotten.
He crept closer, his movements stealthy, and nestled into the crook of her neck, inhaling the scent of her skin. A sigh escaped his lips as he wrapped his arms around her, feeling the warmth of her body seep into his bones.
Nina's arms instinctively wrapped around his back, her touch sending a jolt of pain through his bruised skin. Heeseung bit back a groan, not wanting to wake her. His eyes drifted shut, and he let himself succumb to the exhaustion that had been plaguing him for days.
Nina stirred, her mind foggy from sleep. But Nina lay still, her mind slowly coming to terms with Heeseung's presence beside her. She didn't move, didn't wake up fully, just lay there, her body aware of his closeness. Its as if, her unconscious mind knew that, it was nobody else but Heeseung sleeping beside her.
Heeseung, too, remained fast asleep, his face nestled in the crook of her neck, his arms wrapped around her waist. The silence stretched out, the only sound their gentle breathing. Time passed, and Nina's sleep-addled brain slowly cleared. She became aware of Heeseung's weight, his warmth, and his gentle snores. She lay there, frozen, unsure of what to do. If she didn't recognize the person beside her laid is Heeseung in time then pray for them because she would have yeeted them out of the bed and threw them on the hard surface, dislocating their bones all at once.
Heeseung was sleeping soundly, his arms wrapped around her waist. She gently extricated herself from his grasp, trying not to wake him. As she sat up, her eyes fell upon the deep red bruise on his back. Her heart skipped a beat as she took in the sight. Without making a sound, she got out of bed and padded to the kitchen, returning with a first aid box.
She began to clean and treat Heeseung's wound, her touch gentle but firm. Heeseung's body responded unconsciously, his muscles tensing slightly as she touched the sensitive area. But he didn't wake up, lost in a deep sleep.
Nina's concern grew with each passing moment. What had happened to him? She carefully applied antiseptic cream and bandaged the wound, her mind racing with questions. Heeseung still slept soundly, oblivious to her shock.
As she finished, Heeseung stirred slightly, his face scrunched in discomfort. But he didn't wake up, his heavy sleep a testament to his exhaustion. Nina watched him, her eyes filled with worry and compassion. She knew she had to confront him about this, but for now, she just sat beside him, her presence a silent vigil.
