From 50 to hero (Kaiju no 8 x Male OC)

I was currently observing Kikoru train in the 0 division simulation room. It was nothing too difficult just a regenerating fortitude 7.3 honju and some yoju. Kikoru lands in the training ground before slicing and dicing with no restraint easily taking down the yoju, while also leaving many deep cuts in the surrounding infrastructure.

Now she was face to face with the Honju. And with a look of determination on her face she dashes at it and swings her massive axe cutting it in 2. But the Honju regenerates with no issue.

"I see a stubborn one. I'll just have to cut you down better." Kikoru says with a smirk

"troop style axe technique sixth form: Daruma Otosho!" Kikoru shouts out as she thoroughly slices up the Honju into many pieces

Seeing as it stopped moving Kikoru lets out a hmmph and proudly flips her hair before turning to leave the room.

"Not bad brat you reached a new high combat release." Kikoru hears my voice say through the speakers

Kikoru blushes a bit at the praise and quickly salutes

"Thank you sir!" Kikoru says proudly

'No time to waste! Maybe today will be the day Captain Denmon will personally train with me in combat. Maybe I can get promoted.'

Kikoru takes a packet of electrolytes before running upstairs to the control room. When she gets there she sees no one there.....

Turns out that the voice was a prerecorded message.

"Hah?! Where did he go!" Kikoru says annoyed

She can only think of one other place where I'd be is in the office. She stomps towards it and busts open the door. To see me asleep on the couch drooling.

"Stupid Captain you weren't even watching me?!" Kikoru shouted annoyed

I rub my eyes and get up.

"Hmm... geez you're so noisy... what is it?" I ask

"Today will be the day I'll have you personally train me!" Kikoru announces

"Oh? demanding things from your captain?" I ask amused

"Fine. Tell me why I should spend effort personally training you today?" I ask

"I hit a new high combat release of 78%! And completed the simulation with 0 civilians harmed." Kikoru said

"So? I don't care about that stupid video game at the end of the day it's a fake situation. Prove your worth in an actual mission where there are actual stakes. Then I'll consider spending my effort on you." I announce

"Now let me go back to my nap. Ask Mizari for your recovery plan today." I say laying back on the couch

"I'll show you how good I am next mission stupid captain!" Kikoru exclaims

"Yea yea your dismissed." I say waving her off

Before Kikoru exits the room my phone starts ringing. It rings for a while but I don't bother to pick it up.

"Erm... Captain your phone." Kikoru says

"I know. It's probably some oldie calling me to join some boring meeting about kafka. Why should the strongest captain waste time with stupid politics." I say before plopping back onto the couch

Suddenly Kikoru gets a call and it's from her father.

"Yes daddy. On speaker? Okay" Kikoru says before putting the call on speaker

"Sae you have 3 minutes to get to my office. You know what happens if you don't." General Isao says

It takes a moment to register.
