Chapter 7

Marwari and Chat Noir landed on the upper part of the Palais de Chaillot, carefully examining the surroundings. The square was still contained the damage caused by the fight, which could not be repaired without the help of the miraculous ladybug. These included overturned sculptures and a blood stain. Chat Noir stared at the stain, images of the fainting Ladybug flashing through his mind. Marwari's hand pulled him out from his thoughts. Although she didn't say a word, he saw expressions of sympathy and support in her eyes. In thanks, he gave her a small, sincere smile. They both looked towards the Eiffel Tower, lost in their own thoughts. Their eyes saw vague silhouettes, standing motionless under the Eiffel Tower. They looked at each other, unsure of what they saw. Intrigued, they decided to take a closer look. Using Marwari's power, they teleported to a wall located as close to the Eiffel Tower as possible. They gently leaned out behind the wall, trying to remain unnoticed. Their eyes saw the motionless figures of the seven heroes. Marwari whispered to Chat Noir

M: It's not good. We're outnumbered. You know why they joined Chrystalist?

CN: I don't think they did it of their own free will. Chrystalist had to use her power.

M: Monarch has used others, maybe it's similar in this case. We need to locate the primary source of power.

CN: Good plan, although it won't be easy. There's only two of us.

M: Since when did you become such a pessimist. From what I remember there are 16 Miraculous, if Chrystalist got seven there are still 9 free. Without the two of us and ladybug there are 6 left. Do you have any contact with the others?

Ch: Felix and Kagami are in London and Viperion is still training.

M: And the other three?

CN: There are Rena Rouge, Polymouse and Rooster Bold left, but there has been no contact with him since morning.

M: It's not great, but it could be worse. Try to contact the other two. Let them know our location.

Chat Noir wrote a message to Rena Rouge, briefly informing her of the events. He waited a moment. Every second without a reply filled him with fear. He feared that only he and Marwari remained of the entire team. After a moment, he received a reply "we'll be there soon". He breathed a sigh of relief, showing the message to Marwari. After a few minutes, the heroes were joined by Rena Rouge and Polymouse, who began to look at the new heroine with distrust.

R: "Who is it?" Rena whispered.

CN: Marwari, temporary owner of the Horse Miraculous.

R: She is an adult.

M: Is it wrong?

R: No, we just... usually fought against adults.

M: Are you afraid I will betray you?

R: Maybe.

M: You don't have to trust me, but trust Chat Noir, he chose me.

Rena Rouge turned her head towards Chat Noir who nodded, confirming Marwari's words.

R: So welcome to the team.

Marwari didn't answer, her gaze focused on the enchanted heroes. She looked around, searching for weak points. In the background she could hear a conversation between three teenagers, who were exchanging acquired information. Suddenly, Chryatalist landed between the enchanted heroes, her gaze was directed at the wall behind which the heroes were hiding.
