The Drunken Mistake

Chapter 1 - My Boss

Author's POV

It was a busy Monday evening at the Linos company...

"Oh seriously NOO!! YOU'RE WRONG!!.. All the details are incorrect!. What have you been doing all day? Messing up all the WORK?!!"
Jiya cursed on her friend Ryan who was new to the company.

"What's wrong?" Kiaraa entered the hall with coffee for 3 of them.

"Oh Kia- Miss.. I'm exhausted Teaching him how to deal with these Documents...ARgh!! Can you please tell him to find another job which will suite him?" Jiya said.

"Let me check it first.." Kiaraa Came near the computer and checked the documents and smiled Which made Others Confused.

"Ahh!. It's alright. Everything is correct but the dates are not. You should Edit it. From 1st of September to forward... Great job as a beginner Ryan!" She said making Jiya Confused.

"Thank you miss!" Ryan replied. And Kiaraa added "Plz call me Kiaraa. I'm not a senior here."

"But you're the smartest here though.. The CEO is also impressed by your work. Remember the last Presentation you Handled? it wa-"
Jiya was interrupted by a Random employee of the office.. All looked at her.

"Miss K, Mr. Kim Asked you to come and meet him in his cabin right now."
(Most of the employees used to call her Miss K as a nickname for her.)

"M-mister Kim? Ah Okay I'm coming.."

"See?" Jiya said with a proud look.
Kiaraa's cheeks got reddened.

"Why you're waiting? go to him."Jiya said.

Kiaraa had a huge crush on Kim Jaekyung the CEO. Only her bestie Jiya and few other employees knew that. Jiya said that just to tease Kiaraa.

At the CEO cabin :-

Kiaraa knocked the door of the cabin and entered after someone replied with a "come in" from the other side.

"Oh Kiaraa, You're here. How's life?" Jaekyung spoke excitingly as soon as she entered. He was sitting on his chair, playing with his pen.

"Going well sir" She replied and added "May I know why you called me?"

Why so in hurry to leave? - Jaekyung's thoughts.

"As I'm impressed by your hardworking towards the company and as you're my friend. I thought of giving you a treat." He said again.

"A treat?" Kiaraa asked. "Yes. I want to take you to a dinner. When will you be free?" He asked.

"You don't have to-" she was cut by Jaekyung's words. "Tomorrow night. At 7.30 p.m. Get ready. I'll pick you from the office."

"Yes. thank you sir" She bowed him and left the cabin.

"What did he say?" Jiya asked from Kiaraa.

Kiaraa - "He asked me to go for a dinner tomorrow".

Jiya - " So? Did you say yes?"

Kiaraa - "No before I could say anything he told me all the things, time bla bla and I had to agree."

Jiya - "This is your chance. Ki.. Confess him."

Kiaraa - "What if he don't like me? It's obvious... He only takes me as a friend."

Jiya - "Trying is better than not trying right?"

Kiaraa - "Hm.. we'll see... Anyway wish me luck.."

Jiya - "My blessings are all yours.."

Next day at 7.40 p.m.

Kiaraa's POV

I was working on the documents non-stop and Jiya came to my cabin and shouted.

"What are you doing here at this time?!! Your Romeo is waiting Down there!!."

That's when I realised what was the plan tonight. I was 10 minutes late already!!

"Oh shoot!! I almost forgot!" I was panicked.

"Hurry up girl! You're gonna get a big punch for the dinner." Jiya said.

"Please check the files and close my computer for me. See you tomorrow" saying that I left the cabin. I was sweating, imagining Mr. Kim being furious. I ran towards the Ground floor and saw him Standing and staring at his watch near his car.
