Kiaraa's POV

I opened my eyes and found myself in my room. Aunt was there holding a baby in her hands. It was my baby...

I don't remember anything after I passed out. How long have I been sleeping like this? Is my baby alright?

"Oh!! My goodness, you're awake." Aunt called me. "How long have I  been like this?" I asked. "Almost 3 hours" She said handing me the baby.

Oh my... She must be hungry!

"You better breastfeed her. She must be hungry. But first! You have to get some energy."

She started feeding me while I was breastfeeding the baby.

"Aunt, how come I'm on the bed but not on the floor? Woo!! Did you?"
I asked her with a surprising tone.

"Oh! Not me. My son arrived home.  He helped me to carry you to the room."
She said while feeding me.

"So, How are you gonna name her?"

"Emaya... Yes Emaya it is."

Emaya... She will bring light to my darkened life.

I raised her for a month and legally abandoned her. Through The baby box.

[A baby box is a place where people can leave babies, usually newborn, anonymously in a safe place to be found and cared for.]

I abandoned her with expectations of having her back. But not as her biological mother.

We did as we planned, and Aunt helped me a lot with this. I left the house as the contract was over and I had to leave Aunt too but with a promise to meet her again very soon.

I couldn't have done without her. I'll miss her so much.

I came home. From my parents' point of view, I'm back from Korea.
I told them that I resigned from the company and came back to take my father's business.

As my dad was already 60, I thought it's time for him to enjoy his life without any stress.
And it was a part of my plan.
I should have a job or something to take my daughter's custody.

And the plan went on. I became the CEO of my Dad's company.

Next is to get my parents' permission to adopt a child. I decided to have a discussion with my family.

"Mom, Dad, can I ask you something?"

They nodded and kept listening.

"You know I'm not interested in marriage right?" They nodded.

"And you know that I love to have a baby right?" And my mom spoke.

"You don't tell me anything like that."

"No... It's not like that. I'm just asking,  Is it okay if I adopt a child?" Their eyes widened.

"At such a young age? Are you sure you will be able to handle it? It's not an easy job. We had 2 times of experience." Dad said looking at my sister.

"I can help her too." My sister replied.

"Why you wanted to have a kid as soon as you got here? And why did you Resign from your job?" Mom didn't stop asking questions.

"Ahh, I just want Dad to be relaxed, and I can't stay there forever when my whole life is here. And why I'm willing to adopt a child is... I met a pregnant lady on the plane, and I helped her with her delivery. It was such a great moment with a great experience."

Yeah, a great experience. I lied to my parents. I was prepared for everything.

And they permitted me. Now it's time to find my baby.

It was a bit hard. I had to go to the unit where the newly brought babies were. I was in the Baby Girls section. The babies were in different cribs. I thought I couldn't even find my one.

But I found her thanks to the details Aunt gave me and confirmed by checking the birthmark on her back.

Yes, she had a birthmark on her back. Jaekyung also had a mark on his back just like that.

I came as a person who liked to adopt a child. And a nurse was with me. I chose the baby and signed the papers that would give her custody to my hands.

It was a big purpose that took hours to be done.

What a relief. She's here with me. Not as the biological mother to the world but as a mother.

My life went on with the 5 members of my family.

Once a month, I went to meet aunt with my baby. My parents never knew my relationship with her.

And the secret kept hidden from the world and I hope it would be the same in the future...

I succeeded in my plan.
