Finn stood up from the ground, looking so lost. "Does he know? Your boss?" He gestured with his hand. "Does he know you are pregnant?" His green eyes rested on her stomach, and then back to her face.
Paige shook her head. "He doesn't know."
"He doesn't know?" Finn repeated, his face serious. Paige could feel the wheels turning in his head. He seemed to be thinking hard. Then he ran a hand over his face and planted it on his waist as if coming to a sudden conclusion. "Don't tell him."
"What?"
"I said don't tell him."
"You can't be serious!" Paige cried.
"Hear me out before you say anything," Finn said, stepping closer to her.
Paige knew she hadn't told Leonardo anything about her pregnancy, she knew she was delaying, but she was going to tell him, eventually. However, what Finn was suggesting was the opposite. He was insinuating she shouldn't tell Leo at all.
He grabbed her hand, and Paige tried to pull free, but he tightened his grip, dragging her closer. Paige looked up in shock and met his green eyes. Finn's voice softened as he stared into her eyes. "Paige. I don't care if you are pregnant with your boss's child I still want to marry you. Regardless."
"You are crazy." Paige spat into his face.
"Yes, crazy in love with you." His expression hardened.
Paige started to struggle again. Which only made Finn tighten his grip more. "Get off me," she screamed at last. Frustrated that she felt powerless against his strength. "How can you ask me not to tell Leonardo he is the father of my child? And what sort of man marries a woman who is pregnant with another man's child."
"The type of man that still wants you. Don't you see it, Paige, if I can't have you the way I want. Then I'm prepared to have you anyway I can."
Hearing that, Paige felt that was the most ridiculous thing she have ever heard. Leaning close till their faces were almost touching, Paige muttered, "You are crazy."
Slowly, a sardonic smile crossed his face. "So you have said Paige, so you have said. But I want you and there is no denying that fact. My patience is very thin. I can't stand you always picking your boss over me. That's why I asked you not to tell him about the baby. He will only stand in my way. In the way of our true happiness."
Thick emotions clogged Paige's throat. This has gone too far. She can't believe this was Finn's true color. Her hands were beginning to ache, and she wriggled her wrist.
The discomfort must have shown on her face, because Finn lowered her hands. Trapping it between them, and loosening his grip enough that he was not bruising her, but not enough for her to wrestle her hands free.
Frustration smiled at Paige, making her next words come out emotionally. "I can't believe i had thought of you as a friend." "I'm not going to do what you are saying, i won't think about it. Just leave me alone. Do you hear me! I don't want to be near you, you disgust me."
Like wind, blown to a fire. Instantly, Finn's expression hardened, and with one swift movement, he backed her up against the wall. Trapping her hands above her head with one of his own. Paige's heart somersaulted in her chest as her naked back met with the cool wall. And icy hands of fear touched her. What was he going to do?
"Let go of me this instant or I will, I will--"
"You will what?"
Paige looked around in panic, in the hallway to see if there was anyone she could call out to for help.
