The next morning I woke up before Michael. Except, it was nearly noon, and the sun was shining through my curtains and it was really annoying. I squinted my eyes, letting out a little huff as I turned around to face Michael.
The strange thing was that we fell asleep a good distance away from each other. But when I woke up, he had his arms wrapped securely around my waist, my back pressed to his chest.
So, when I turned around to face him, I had a little smile on my face as I watched him peacefully sleep. The fact that he unknowingly started spooning me in the middle of the night was kind of flattering to me. Although, he could spit in my eye and I would still consider it flattering.
He was still fast asleep. He looked to peaceful, and younger somehow. I tentatively brought my hand up to trace his scars on his face. When our skin made contact, his nose twitched, but he didn't wake up.
He just looked so soft. Not in the fat sort of way, but just soft. If I didn't have to pee so badly, I would cuddle back with him.
I sit up and try to gently pry his fingers off of my waist, but his grip tightens. I try again, but then I hear him groan from behind me.
"Don't go," he whined in his morning voice, pulling me back down on the bed.
"Michael," I laughed as he buried his face in my neck. He put some of his weight on my stomach, which didn't help my bladder problem. "I'm going to pee all over you if you don't get off of me."
He laughed in my neck, making goosebumps rise on my skin and a smile spread on my face. I ran my fingers through the hair on the back of his head, which wasn't the best idea because he leaned into my touch, and now I really didn't want to get up.
"Stop being cuddle-able. I literally have to pee so bad," I warned. Michael lifted his head from my neck with eyes half-lidded and a pout on his lips. How can one person be so cute?
"But I want cuddles," he said. "You promised me cuddles this morning."
"Michael it's noon. We have been cuddling all morning," I snort at the look of realization on his face. "And I'll be back for cuddles after I pee."
"Okay. Pee quickly," he said, flopping back on my bed on his back.
I roll my eyes fondly at him as I walk across the hall to go to the bathroom. When I leave, I run into Keenan, and if I wouldn't have just peed, I would have wet myself.
"Shit, you scared me," I said, clutching my pounding heart.
"First of all, I live here too. And second of all, did you just now wake up?" He asked, lifting his shirt a little bit to scratch his stomach.
"Yeah, why?" I asked, rubbing my eye.
"Damn. Did you have a wild night last night, hmm?" He asked, nudging my shoulder while wiggling his eyebrows.
I snorted, rolling my eyes, "Yeah, because I'm not a virgin or anything."
"I didn't need to hear that," He said quickly, clapping his hand over his ears and squeezing his eyes shut.
"Oops," I shrugged at him, walking back to my room.
When I walked in, Michael was lying diagonally across my bed, looking at his phone. I snorted at his position, so he turned toward me and stuck his tongue out at me.
"Well, at least you're awake," I mused, flopping beside him.
"Yeah, I felt weird sleeping in your room without you," I said, turning his head toward me. I smiled as we made eye contact. "Besides, Kellin Quinn keeps staring at me."
