"Why are we even here?" I ask Keenan when I put my phone in the pocket of my shorts. I felt it buzz again, but I assumed it was Michael and I already told him bye.

"It's like a barbeque, and Grandma and Grandpa invited us. Not sure if anybody else wants us here, but they do, so we kind of have to be here," he explained.

We were sitting outside, yes, outside, on our rich Aunt's patio. I'm surprised we're having ribs and stuff; I took her for the type that eats sushi everyday with some kale juice or some shit.

"Then can we, like, leave?" I grumble, crossing my arms. No one here remembers us, or are even talking to us, so what's the point in staying here? If Keenan and I just walked to an ice cream shop, no one would notice, let alone care.
