The weekend finally arrived, and you felt excited about your breakfast date with Toshi. You opted for a cozy little café in a quieter part of town, known for its delicious pastries and coffee.
While you were waiting outside, you noticed Toshi coming towards you, a big smile appearing on his face when he caught sight of you.
"Morning, (Y/N)!" Toshi greeted, his voice full of enthusiasm.
"Good morning, Toshi! Ready for some breakfast?" you replied, linking your arm with his.
"Absolutely. I've been looking forward to this all week," he said, leading you inside.
You guys found a cute table by the window, and the sun was shining in, making everything look warm and cozy. Both of you placed your orders and began enjoying a relaxed conversation.
"There was this one time I tried to bake a cake for my friend's birthday and ended up setting off the fire alarm." You said, laughing.
Toshi chuckled. "I can't believe you set off the fire alarm. Was the cake really that bad?"
"It wasn't that bad! Just a little... overdone," you said with a playful grin.
"Overdone? That's one way to put it," Toshi teased. "I'm sure your friend appreciated the effort, though."
While having breakfast, Toshi felt an unfamiliar sense of contentment. It's nice to have quiet moments like this.
"So, have you made any new plans for the weekend?" Toshi asked, taking a sip of his coffee.
"Not yet," you said, leaning back in your chair. "I was thinking of catching up on some shows. Do some house work. How about you?"
"Same here. Maybe I'll finally get around to that book I've been meaning to read," Toshi said with a smile. "But spending time with you is the highlight of my week."
You felt your cheeks warm up at his words. "Aw, that's so sweet of you. I've been loving our time together, too."
Just as you were finishing your breakfast, Toshi spoke up.
"Y/n?"
"Yes, Toshi?"
"There's something-" He pauses before speaking up again.
"Well, I can tell you anything, right?"
"Of course you can." You placed your hands into his.
Before he had the chance to say another word, a deafening explosion shook the café, sending patrons into a frenzy of screams and causing the windows to tremble. Eyes widening in alarm, Toshi swiftly stood up and began scanning the area with a sense of urgency.
"Toshi, what's going on?" you asked, fear creeping into your voice.
"Stay here, (Y/N). I'll check it out," Toshi said, his expression serious.
"Wait, what do you mean? It might be dangerous out there," you say, anxiety rising by the second.
"I'm sure it's nothing. I just want to make sure everyone is safe," Toshi said, though he didn't look entirely convinced.
Just as you were about to respond, another explosion erupted, causing debris to scatter throughout the street. Toshi reacted instinctively, shielding you and pushing you behind a counter to keep you safe.
"Are you alright?" he asked.
"I'm fine, but what about you?" You replied, looking at him with worry.
"I'll be alright," he assured you, though his mind was racing.
Chaos filled the air outside-people shouting, sirens wailing, and the unmistakable roar of a villain causing destruction. Toshi knew he had to act, but if he revealed his true identity right now, it would put you in danger.
"Toshi, where are you going?!" you say as he rose from behind the counter.
"I'll be back. I need to see if anyone needs to get to safety." He says.
You grab onto his hand. "It's too dangerous, especially by yourself."
"I'll be okay y/n. Just stay hidden, okay? Promise me you won't move," he said, giving your hand a reassuring squeeze.
Against your better judgment, you nodded. "Please be careful."
Toshi gave you one last look before heading out onto the street. He witnessed the chaos caused by a powerful villain, and people were scrambling to get away.
Searching for a place to transform, he dove into the alleyway and could feel his heart pounding in his chest. In a secluded spot, he took a deep breath; the air filling his lungs as he readied himself to transform into his All Might form. Within seconds, he felt the familiar surge of energy filling him, preparing him to confront the imminent danger.
"There's no need to worry, because I am Here!" All Might says. As he stepped out from the shadows, a few onlookers cheered.
"It's All Might!"
"All Might's arrived!"
All Might leaped into action, engaging the villain without hesitation. The fight was intense, but he gave it his all to keep the city and everyone safe. Despite all the destruction, All Might stayed strong.
As you tried your hardest to keep your mind at ease and stay where you were as promised to Toshi, a sudden loud crash startled you. You crept towards the counter's edge and peered out carefully to see what was going on. Watching in awe as the legendary hero All Might arrived on the scene. You couldn't deny the feeling of familiarity that came over you as you watched him battle. His actions and demeanor strangely mirrored Toshi.
Finally, All Might managed to defeat the villain, making sure that the area was secure and everyone was out of harm's way. He swiftly returned to a hidden location, transforming back into his Toshinori form before coming back to you.
He returned to the cafe, which was mostly unaffected, and quickly made his way towards the counter.
"Y/n?!"
"Toshi!" you exclaimed, running to him as he approached.
"I'm here," he said, pulling you into a tight hug. "I'm here. Are you okay?"
"Yes, I'm fine. But you...I was just worried about you," you said, your voice shaking.
As you observed him closely, you noticed that he was panting and his clothes were scuffed and slightly torn. "Toshi, why are you so out of breath? And what happened to your clothes?" you asked, concerned.
He took a brief pause, trying to find a reasonable explanation. "I...I helped some people get to safety. It got a bit rough out there."
You looked at him, knowing there was more to the story, but you decided not to push him. "I'm just glad you're okay."
"Let's get out of here," he said, leading you away from the scene. "Let's salvage what we can from this day."
As you walked away, you couldn't help but think there was more to Toshi. But for now, you're just happy to have him with you, and that you're both safe and sound.
You can't deny that this was quite an interesting breakfast.
