Caelus and Medea decided to visit the bustling market, donning informal attire to blend in with the crowd. Caelus wore a simple yet elegant linen shirt with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows, paired with dark trousers and sturdy leather boots.

His silver hair was slightly tousled, giving him a casual, approachable look. Medea, on the other hand, chose a flowing, light-blue dress that brushed her ankles, adorned with delicate floral embroidery. A soft, cream-colored shawl was draped over her shoulders, and her dark hair was loosely tied back, allowing a few strands to frame her face.

As they strolled through the market, their eyes wandered over the myriad of stalls displaying a wide range of goods. Some booths offered antiques for home decor, while others showcased fresh vegetables, fruits, and various types of delectable foods. The air was filled with the enticing aroma of baked goods and the lively chatter of vendors and customers.

Caelus's attention was suddenly caught by a couple at a nearby stall selling lucky charms and jewelry. He paused, observing their affectionate interaction. The man tenderly presented a lucky charm to his lover, who responded with a grateful hug, their faces lit up with happiness. This simple yet touching moment stirred something within Caelus.

Meanwhile, Medea was absorbed in examining the intricate antiques at another stall. Seeing her preoccupied, Caelus quietly made his way to the jewelry stall, his eyes scanning the assortment of trinkets and charms laid out before him. He noticed an array of necklaces, bracelets, and rings, each one more beautiful than the last.

However, it was a particular item that truly captivated him—a pair of jades, one red and one blue, intricately carved and interlocked like puzzle pieces. The way they fit together suggested they were inseparable, meant to be together forever.

The stall's elderly vendor, noticing Caelus's fascination, approached with a warm smile.

"Ah, I see you have an eye for something special," he said, his voice gentle and knowing. "That is called the Lover's Jade. There is a myth surrounding these pieces—they are meant for couples destined to marry. These jades are quite rare and symbolize everlasting love and unity, love that knows no separation. It is said that many couples use them to craft their wedding rings, as it is said to bring good fortune and eternal happiness."

Caelus listened intently, his fingers gently brushing against the smooth surface of the jade. The symbolism and the story behind the jades resonated deeply with him. He imagined presenting one half to Medea, keeping the other for himself, as a token of their bond. The thought of them sharing something so meaningful brought a soft smile to his lips.

"How much for the Lover's Jade?" Caelus asked, his voice steady with determination.

The old man smiled, sensing the sincerity in Caelus's words. "I will make it a fair price for you, young man. Fifty gold pieces."

Caelus nodded and handed over the coins without hesitation, his heart swelling with anticipation. He carefully took the pendant and placed it in his pocket, eager to share the moment with Medea.

Medea, having finished browsing the antiques, approached the jewelry stall and noticed Caelus engrossed in his thoughts.

"What do you have there?" she asked, curiosity lacing her voice as she peered over his shoulder.

Caelus turned to her, his eyes shimmering with a newfound determination. "I found something that speaks of us," he said, holding up the intertwined jades.

"These are Lover's Jades. The vendor told me they symbolize a love that endures, that cannot be separated. I thought... perhaps we could have them as a reminder of our connection, no matter what happens."
