/Warning/: This chapter contains:- cursing, confusion, a little bit of sadness, a little bit of angst, fluff, and Shen Jiu being a confused kitten the whole chapter! All reviews are appreciated.

P.S.: This story takes place in the PIDW's timeline (Precisely Shen Jiu's Disciple Era) and the modern world (Undecided Timeline) to some extent but with many major changes. Fair warning, English is not my first language, and I am still a bit unsure about all the roles and titles appropriated for characters but I will try my best to give this fic the attention it deserves.

Chapter 3

Shen Jiu's heart pounded in his throat, his eyes were wide in terror, and his breath stilled in his chest. On either side of him, Liu Qingge (Who insisted that Shen Jiu call him 'Mingyu' and not 'Shidi') and his sister; the two of them were talking to him with soft voices and trying to calm him down from the panic that was mounting until it almost spilled over. Shen Jiu's eyes darted around the metal monstrosity he was forced into; his eyes shifting to the glass, metal, and leather surrounding them as he tried to come up with plan after plan to escape this death trap, he was forced into by his Shidi (Liu Mingyu? Liu Qingge? His reincarnation?) who refused to listen to any word of reason he spat at him as he tried to run to the well and jump through it instead of being sent to whatever this 'Hospital' was.

"Just breathe, kid, you are ok, no one is going to hurt you," Liu-Shidi said gently; Shen Jiu had half a mind to snap at him and tell him to shut his trap, but the monster, Shen Jiu was manhandled into, made a U-turn, that made him squeak and clutch Liu-Shidi's bicep tightly, chanting prayers and begging every God out there to keep him safe from dying in this strange new world.

It was a couple of incense sticks' time since Shen Jiu's exploding (Or as he liked to think of it that way) fight with Liu-Shidi when he told the man that he was twenty, only to have the healer all but shrieking as she ordered the two of them to hold Shen Jiu and not allow him to escape until after they checked him at the 'Hospital' (Which Shen Jiu suspected was a Healing Pavilion, but really, why did the healer want to take him there? Shen Jiu was fine, and even if he wasn't, no one, not even those from Qian Cao told him he needed to come to their peak to recover, just that he needed to rest on his peak and not strain himself) which Shen Jiu thought was stupid.

It was only a couple of incense sticks' time since Shen Jiu was dragged by Liu-Shidi and his sister, following the healer to the metal monstrosity that was called 'Car', almost having his heart dropping out of his chest when he was forced into the metal creature with a brief explanation of this being transportation device from the future; it made Shen Jiu nervous as he sat on the leather seat (Which he would only admit to himself, they were comfortable and soft, and supported him nicely, unlike the carriage's seats Shen Jiu was in before, but the narrow space that impaired his mobility was not all that to crack about, like what was he going to do if they were attacked? Surely a narrow space like this would be hard to escape from and save oneself and others when it was time) wondering what the hell were the horses or other animals that were supposed to pull their carriage/car.

It was when the healer who was sitting in the front seat pressed something, that Shen Jiu all but squeaked and tried to fight his way to freedom; the harsh growl he heard all of a sudden, coupled with the monster he was in rumbling and coming to life made Shen Jiu vibrate with the need to escape and find safety. It took time, and a lot of comforting words and explanations before Shen Jiu managed to stop his struggle to escape, and instead gripe Liu-Shidi's arm tightly, no doubt leaving bruises as he gripped the man's like his life depended on it. In the back of Shen Jiu's mind, he wondered what happened to the safer transportation of his time; what happened to the safe and spacious carriages being pulled by horses, or even the flying swords that were way safer than the monster he was sitting inside; hell! They just need to let Shen Jiu out and he swore he would follow them with his sword, just please, let him out! He doesn't want to get eaten by this monster!
