Michael was very thankful that his family were out when he got home. They never ever needed to find out about this.

He opened the door to his house, leaving his bag on his back. Everything felt so surreal. He couldn't feel anything. Just numbness.

Michael quickly walked into the bathroom and locked it. He opened his bag up, taking out his pencil case. He searched through it and took out a pencil sharpner. It clattered to the ground as it fell through his fingers. He picked it back up and brought it to his face.

Shit, how could Michael not think of the screws.

He unlocked the bathroom door and grabbed the screw driver out of a draw. Walking back into the bathroom he brought the screw driver to the pencil sharpener, letting the small screws fall onto the floor.

Michael picked the blade out and ran his forefinger across the cool piece of metal.

He pressed the blade down slowely down on the right side of his right wrist. He couldn't hear anything else but the hammering of his heart as he thought about what he was going to do.

This was it. Michael pressed down harder and dragged the sharp piece of metal across. He eyes immediately shut as a burning sensation ran across his wrist but no tears leaked out.

He opened his eyes and looked down. A perfectly straight white line was now on his wrist. He peered at it closer as very small red patches opened inside it. Suddenly the line turned bright red as the blood exited out of the cut.

Michael went into a trance as he watched lines of blood run down his arm and drip onto the bathroom floor. God- the sweet release. That was the only way he could describe as he watched this happen. Like a balloon full of heavy rocks inside his stomach had been released into the sky and now he was set free.

But then reality hit. And the feeling of relief turned into a fist of cold gravy in Michaels stomach. His throat turned cold as he literally made himself sick because never planned to do what he had just done in his life, ever.

He looked down at the small droplets of blood that now were puddles on the floor. Then at the scar across his right wrist and the lines of dried up blood on his arm.

His whole wrist was now throbbing and Michael slowly turned it around. He had no idea how long the scar would stay on his wrist and the thought of it being there permantly made him sick all over again.

He shakily took his hands away from the floor and moved his head away from the toilet seat. His mouth felt raw and the insides of him stayed cold as ice.

Michael leaned his back against the bathroom wall. He tilted his head back closing his eyes, and the tears finally came. They ran down his face as he sobbed into his arms for god knows how long. He felt humiliated with himself even if no one had seen because he had been brought up that it was wrong, but he didn't regret what he had done. Actually-

When realizing it, his knees buckled underneath of him and he dropped to ground sobbing even harder.
