Michael slowly closed his eyes and leaned his head against the cool porcelain bath tub. All he seemed to do was think these days. He sighed loudly and let his mind drift once again.
He thought about Luke. Luke the angel. He would definitely not be a devil. He was too beautiful and pure for that. Michael wasn't a christian (obviously), he had committed far too much sins to be pure. He didn't know about heaven but he did believe in some sort of 'after life'. He wondered about what Luke was doing. Was he happy now? Of course he was. Could he see Michael? He really didn't know.
All he knew was death didn't scare him anymore. People were more scared of dying than living and Michael thought that was incredibly stupid because after you die its over and there is no more pain. No more voices in his head.
He imagined it, leaving. It would be so much better. No more rumors, lies. No more grief, hatred, no more stress or crying. No more pain. No more hiding. He wondered if when he went, if Luke would be there. Honestly, all he wanted was Luke and nothing else.
Michael hadn't realized he had drifted off a bit too much and sunk a bit too much. He jumped up, gasping for air. Water dripped down his face as he sat back in the bath tub slowely. He stared into the mirror that was in front of him. What was he doing, he thought.
"I'm better off dead" the four simple words rang through the room and as soon as they were said they were gone. But they remained in Michaels head.
If anyone asked Michael at the time if he knew he was already gone, he wouldn't be able to awnser the simple question with a good awnser. All he could say was he knew he didn't belong here. Not anymore.
