Third POV

Before the IPL season started, all the teams were at the promotions together. Ishita got to meet so many cricketers and kept checking her bucket list off. She managed to meet her all time favorite Virat Kohli as well who complimented her on her modeling and acting skills from the commercials. "I hope you get your Bollywood debut soon. You are talented and have so much potential." he said and something like that coming from him was all Ishita needed to give her 200% in every project she did.

Virat: (whispers in Abhishek's ear) "Kitni badhia ladki hai aur tum dono saath mein bhi kitne acche lagte ho to abhi tak date ke liye kyu ni poocha?"
Shubman: "Kyuki ye fattu hai" (whispers in his other ear)
Ishan: "Ole ole bacche ko rejection ka darr to nahi hai na"
Rohit also joins the Tease Abhishek Group: "Friendzone kar dia hoga Ishita ne"
Abhishek: "Ho gaya aap sabka??"
Shubman: "Do you not like her or what?"
Abhishek confesses: "Like? I more than like her,"

All 4 of them get excited for Abhishek!!

Virat: "Then what's the problem?"
Abhishek: "I don't think she's ready yet. She barely got into the industry and has a long journey ahead of her. Firstly, I would never want to be the person who gets her distracted from her dreams. And secondly, I don't want to put her into any sort of pressure for a relationship if she's not ready. I'll definitely choose to wait for her rather than put her into any kind of a trouble. What we have right now whether its friendship or more than that, I am very happy and very satisfied with it. As much as I want to be with her for the rest of my life,  I also know that one wrong step can ruin it all. You know we had training last week and I pulled a muscle. I told her it wasn't too bad but she took me to the medical room and was right beside me holding my hand for the whole time when I was in pain. Whenever I have a rough day, just her presence is enough to make me feel so much better. I get to spend time with her, we work and laugh together, everything is going great. I want to keep it like that for the rest of my life. I absolutely cannot afford to lose her."

Rohit: "Arre yaar I thought its just a phase. But isko to pyaar hogya hai Ishita se"
Abhishek looks at Rohit with a confused look on his face.
Virat: "YOU ARE IN LOVE"
Ishan: "Tu to gaya beta"
Shubman: "Aaja bhai gale lag ja"
They hug him as he processes his feelings and realizes HE ACTUALLY HAS FALLEN IN LOVE WITH ISHITA ❤️

Throughout the promotions and shoots before IPL, Abhishek and Ishita were glued to each other. They would eat, sit, stand, talk, crack jokes, laugh together. But something had changed. Abhishek was extremely happy about his feelings. He knew he was attracted to her since their first meeting, actually even before the meeting, and that he started liking her after they met but now the way he looked at her was so much more intense and loving. He also knew if he gave Ishita the time she needed and if he made the efforts, he would get her to be his Girlfriend, Wife, bacchon ki maa, bacchon ke bacchon ki Dadi/Nani as he had planned with his future life partner.

Virat, Rohit, Shubman, and Ishan notice them and smile.
Virat: "Aag to dono taraf baraabar lagi hai bas doosri side ko abhi pata nahi hai."
Ishan: "Main bata doon jaake?"
Rohit: "Gadha hai kya? Khada reh chup chap yahin pe."
Shubman: "Abhishek ne baat to sahi ki h. Ishita should take her time to be ready to handle a relationship and her work together. Humara ladka mature ho gaya hai"
They giggle

IPL OPENING DAY

Ishita gets the opportunity to perform in the opening ceremony of IPL. It is a huge deal for her. Her parents, brother, Chacha-Chachi are here to support her. The first match is RCB vs SRH so Abhishek's family is also here to support him. Before her performance, Ishita is in the green room, getting nervous. As Abhishek knocks, she opens the door with an angry face and pulls him in and shuts the door. "Time mil gaya tujhe aane ka?" (Yes, as they spent time together, they made their way through Aap and Tum and now it's Tu since they are extremely comfortable with each other) "Chai Samose bhi thoos leta aane se pehle" she throws a taunt at him. "Heinnnnn kahan mil rahe hain Chai Samose? Bata na main jaun khaane" Abhishek teases her and laughs as she gets annoyed. He pulls her into a hug and kisses the top of her head "Sherni hai tu. Tu faad degi aaj stage dekh lio." As he is about to let go, she keeps holding on to him and gets him back in the hug as she takes some long breaths with her head in his chest as he rubs her back to comfort her. In a very short span of time, they have become emotionally attached. He is her pause button. Whenever she feels anxious or nervous or wants to rant about how bad her day was, and when she get a new project or wants to celebrate her small victories, he is the go to person for her and vice versa.
"The ceremony is about to start. Let's go. And don't you dare look at the other guys okay" Abhishek says softly with a cute pout. "What if they are good looking" replies Ishita as she teases him. "Mujhse zada good looking ladka kahan milega tujhe" says Abhishek with a proud face and Ishita does the fake vomit gesture making Abhishek annoyed at her. "By the way I can say the same thing for you. You better keep your eyes off the girls." she says. He replies, "I anyways don't look at any other girl. Do you know why?" Ishita raises her eyebrows asking the answer for why. He leans towards her and says, "Because तेरे चेहरे से नजर नहीं हटती, नजारे हम क्या देखें " he smiles as he sings. Ishita gets all flustered and to avoid the situation get worse, she says, "Chal chal jhootha" and starts stepping out of the room.
Abhishek thinks, "This is the truth and I will make sure you realize it very soon."

Ishita dances on the song Illegal Weapon 2.0 and the response she gets from the audience is much more than she expected. She could hear people cheering for her from all the sides of the stadium and got emotional. Before she would start crying, she folds her hand 🙏🏻 and thanks everyone with a big smile and leaves. Abhishek, Tani, and Ishita's family get teary eyed with all smiles.
She goes back stage where her family and Tani come and hug her. As they are talking, Abhishek comes there with his family. Ishita gets surprised. Abhishek touches her parents' and Chacha-Chachi's feet while she touches his parents' feet and they all greet each other. Ishita's family has seen Abhishek play for a while now and they've always liked his personality in the interviews and bts clips. Abhishek's family also started watching Ishita's work since he told them she became the Brand Ambassador of SRH and liked her a lot. They chat for a while and then go to their respective seats for the match. Ishita goes to the green room to change into SRH's jersey and Abhishek follows her. As she is about to shut the door, he pops in and closes it behind him. She asks, "When exactly were you going to tell me that I'm meeting your family today for the first time?" "It wasn't planned. They just said they wanted to meet you and your family and this was the perfect chance because they were all here together. Why, what's wrong?" he asks. "What if they didn't like me? You should've given me a heads up to prepare." she says. "They liked you ever before you met them. Aur ek second, why are you so concerned about the fact that they wouldn't like you? It's not like you're going to be their BAHU some day." he teases her and clearly loves to do so 😏. "They should be confident that their son is friends with a good girl right? Tune koi kaand kar dia to responsibility to meri hai na." she pouts. "Kitni cute hai tu" he says playfully. "Dafa ho ja" she says as she smiles. They clearly flirt with each other and love it. "Fine I'm going. At least wish me luck and then come quick. We are batting first and you are not allowed to miss a single ball I play." he says. "Got it! Good luck" she replies. "Itna sookha sookha good luck??" he exclaims. She smirks and says, "You don't want me to hug you right now. I'm sweating because of the performance. I'll take a quick shower before I change." "What do you think I care more about: the sweat or the hug?" he asks emphasizing on the word HUG. She can't help but chuckle. She wraps her arms around his shoulder and gives him a tight hug which is reciprocated. As they let go, she plants a kiss over his head. He leaves to meet his team before the match and she can't help but blush. She thinks, "I know he likes me and I like him but this is not the right time for us to be together. He's growing in his career so am I and what if love gets in the way of our dreams? I can't afford to lose him or give up on my dream or let him give up on his. I have to wait till the right time."
