What the Lancers didn't realize was that Zarc had actually spoken with his Yuus before they had decided to use him as a living jungle gym. The five of them had awoken in the park after Yuya had passed out from an overwhelmingly painful headache, which had apparently been the result of a buildup of energy from both Zarc and his Yuus, which had resulted in them all getting separated. Zarc had expressed his fondness for his Yuus, stubbornly insisting on calling them his Yuus.

Which his Yuus were actually surprisingly fine with. Though they weren't one anymore, they still felt a strong connection and affection for each other and for Zarc as well.

The real trouble had begun when Yuya mentioned that his parents might want to adopt his counterparts and Zarc. The moment Yuya said the words "my parents", Zarc got very upset. He was a very jealous and possessive young man, and the very thought of Sakaki Yusho and his bond with Yuya really seemed to trigger him. That was Zarc's Yuya! Not Yusho's! How dare that man try to take his Yuu! His precious little tomato-haired Yuu! His favorite Yuu!

His Yuus seemed to realize that Zarc was about to go hunt Yusho down, because Yuya, Yugo, and Yuto had immediately jumped him. Yuya and Yugo had climbed onto him, trying to stop him from leaving, while Yuto had grabbed his shirt. Yuri, who also did not like Yusho for trying to take Yuya from him, didn't really do anything to stop Zarc at first, though he did find it amusing and watched Zarc try to get the others off him for a while.

Though Zarc didn't really try too much. He didn't want to risk hurting his precious Yuus. He would never forgive himself if he accidentally hurt them trying to get them off him. So his attempts to get his Yuus off him were half-hearted, and by the time the Lancers had arrived, he'd simply given up.

When the Lancers finally left, Yuya looked up at Zarc. "Promise me something?" he said. Zarc raised an eyebrow in silence for a moment, waiting for him to continue. "Promise me you won't do anything bad to my parents—"

Zarc hissed in agitation at Yuya's words, very much not liking the thought of Yuya considering that man his parent. He had less disdain for that man's wife, mainly because he knew Yuya wasn't as close to her as he was with that man. She wasn't as much of a threat, and Zarc didn't consider her to really be a rival for Yuya's affection like he viewed Yusho as. But Yuya looked distraught at Zarc's agitation, and the asparagus-haired man eventually sighed, "Fine. I suppose I can promise that I won't hurt them..."

"Thank you, Zarc!" Yuya said, hugging Zarc tightly. Zarc smiled, hugging his precious Yuu back. He would do anything to keep his Yuus happy. Even if it meant having to be nice to Yusho.
