Guilt

Yusho had overheard Zarc's words, and a pang of guilt went through him. The idea that all the bullying his precious little boy had experienced in the last three years was his fault made the older man feel bad about leaving without explaining. And he really couldn't find fault in Zarc's logic. He now understood exactly why Zarc hated him so much.

Yusho had no intention of leaving his family again now that he knew that his little disappearing act had caused Yuya so much pain and suffering. It wouldn't be fair of him to put his son through all that stress again. Sure, people now knew that he'd disappeared to help in the Dimensional War and considered both him and Yuya to be heroes now, but still! Yuya didn't deserve all the stress he'd experienced.

Well, now Yusho wanted to make it up to Yuya. He couldn't believe that it took hearing Zarc's complaints about him for him to realize just how badly he screwed up. He should've at least asked Reiji to explain things to Yoko and Yuya, rather than simply assuming the young CEO would do so.

As Yusho walked back into the house, he noticed Zarc immediately stop talking. Clearly the asparagus-haired boy still wasn't happy with him. That was fine. Yusho supposed he deserved the silent treatment. He walked over to the living room where Yuya and his counterparts were playing with the pets.

"Oh, hi Dad!" Yuya said, looking up at his father. Yusho smiled and said, "Yuya, are you still interested in glassblowing?"

Yuya lit up happily. "Yeah! Mom took me to a Renaissance Fair a few months before the Lancers formed, and I got to watch some glassblowers make vases and sculptures!" His eyes shined at the memory.

"Well, how would you like to have your very own glassblowing studio when we get a new house?" Yusho asked. His tomato-haired son gasped in excitement. "Really?! I'd love one!"

"Good," Yusho said, smiling. "I'll make sure the new place has an area that works."

It was the least he could do to make things right with his son.
