The letters Part 2
4th of September 1891
Siren!
That is not how we are starting the letter.
Oh yes it is! You know why?
Siren Darling, I am so sorry.
Because I convinced Ominis to let me bring the quill!
It appears I have made a mistake in my judgement and I greatly apologise for that.
Oh Ominis, so dramatic. Now come on, we have much to cover. She insisted we tell her about the ball and the start of the school year, so tell her we must.
Not the ball...
Siren, I have learned that when my dear friend here gets hit on by a pretty girl, he becomes an utter fool.
Sebastian-
*laughter*, Oh come on Ominis, I had never seen you so flustered before in my life.
It wasn't because I didn't know how to talk to her, but rather, I was trying to find the right words to turn her away, kindly.
But why would you do that? She was not hard on the eyes. Wait-
I could tell right away that she was not interested in me, but my status. Why don't you tell Siren how you couldn't fight off the hoard of young ladies who all huddled around you, just waiting for you to ask them to dance.
Again, so dramatic.
Every time I tried to find you, you were either surrounded or on the dance floor.
I will say, the higher class girls are a bit more... feral than I had expected.
You were certainly flustered by all of the attention.
Again, they were feral.
I suppose it was just because they hadn't gotten to know you yet.
Oh come on, now that just hurt.
Then again...even here, there has been a lot of giggling
...Giggling? What do you mean? When?
Since day one really. The girls here seem to have really become quite interested in you.
Oh sod off, now you're just messing with me.
*sigh* If only...
Alright that's it, I'm wrapping this up. In a brief summary, Sharp is still grumpy because Garreth is still exploding potions. Imelda is finally happy since quidditch tryouts will be starting soon, she says she misses flying with you by the way, and I am still the greatest duelist in the school which was to be expected.
Until Siren returns.
Oh don't start.
I am only pointing out the truth
Whatever, Siren, we will be having a rematch by the way. You have no say in the matter.
We hope you are well Siren. And please do understand, these letters are not an obligation.
Yeah, whether you believe us or not, we want to write to you.
Take care Siren,
Sebastian Sallow & Ominis Gaunt
Siren's cheeks ached as she folded the letter and tucked it down into her dress. She had done her best to not make any audible laughter or giggle noises as she had read the letter, but their banter had tested her limits. She rubbed at her cheeks with the tips of her fingers in an attempt to dissolve any laugh lines that may have formed before she exited the washroom.
