We're getting some soft Donna and Rohann here because I wanna show yall that Donna is still human (and I love her). I also wanted to give yall a small preview to what their book may look like👀
Tenses are hard. If you notice one chapter is in past tense and another chapter is in present tense. No you didn't.
And if the tenses change in the middle of a chapter. No they didn't.

Third Person
Location: Ricci's Mansion, New YorkDavid stared at Andre Arnaud, trying his best to hide the anger that was boiling beneath his skin.
The French Mafia had cut contact with the Ricci family over two months ago.
They had helped in the initial search for Ayla, they gave up after two weeks, claiming they could no longer spare resources for 'such a pointless search'. They believed that Ayla was gone for good.
They were not the only ones who believed that. David knew many in the Italian and Spanish Mafias thought the same. They believed that Ayla's kidnapping meant the attacks against them would stop.
But David and Lucia knew better.
Between Donna's advice, and the many encounters they have had with Vincent, they knew that their daughter's disappearance did not mean the end of his torment.
No one believed them until Charlotte Arnaud was taken from her bed.
"David, please. We need your help," Andre begged.
"I needed yours as well. You said you could no longer give it," David responded coldly.
"I apologize for that. I made a mistake. Perhaps if I continued to help, Charlotte would still be here. With my family."
"You didn't seem to care much when our daughter was taken from us."
"David, please. My family needs your help. I know you're working with Donna. I can give you my men. I can help with the search. Please."
David regarded the French Don carefully. He was, of course, going to work with Andre. He was angry, but he wasn't a cruel man.
The aid of the French would not only add more men to their headcount, but perhaps persuade other foreign mafias to assist in the hunting of Vincent.
Accepting Andre was a tactical decision. Making him panic and beg was a personal one. A silent revenge for his actions all those months ago.
"Very well," David conceded. He suppressed a satisfied smirk at the relieved sigh that was heard from across the table. "I will inform Donna the next time she returns. We can work on finding our daughters. Together."
"Thank you." Andre's composure had returned, but only slightly. His eye still twitched from exhaustion. "You have to understand that my decision to stop your search was to protect my family."
"And what good did that do you."
"My children are not like Ayla. They are not killers."
"Your children are like mine. Children." David was starting to regret allowing the French Don into his house.
"But they weren't raised the way she was. You cannot possibly believe that Vincent would kill your daughter as fast as he would kill mine. On that, you must be honest."
"I believe that Vincent is a horrible man. And that he would kill both of our daughters in a heartbeat. I also believe that if another word about my daughter comes out of your mouth, I may retract your invite to the next meeting with Donna."
