Chapter 1: An Ordinary Day

There’s something about "The Duchess of Avenia" that never fails to captivate me. As I nestled into my favorite armchair, the familiar scent of leather and old books wrapped around me like a comforting hug. I held the well-worn novel in my hands, its pages slightly yellowed from years of loving use. The afternoon sunlight streamed through the bay window, bathing my small living room in a warm glow.I turned the last page with a contented sigh. Lady Eliza and the Duke of Avenia, Lord Hyunjin had found their happy ending once more regardless of all the evil schemes of Lady Isabella. Their love for each other was too strong to be broken. It didn’t matter that I’d read the book countless times; the magic was always there, fresh and exhilarating. I closed the book gently and ran my fingers over the embossed title on the cover.
The clock on the wall ticked away, reminding me that I had spent nearly the entire day lost in the world of Avenia. With a wistful smile, I placed the book back on the shelf where it belonged, nestled among other treasured historical romances. My stomach growled, pulling me back to reality. I realized I hadn’t eaten since breakfast.
The kitchen was a short walk from my reading nook. I opened the fridge and began to rummage through its contents, my mind still lingering on the lush gardens and grand ballrooms of Avenia. I imagined myself wandering through those gardens, my hand resting lightly on the arm of the Duke. The thought brought a dreamy smile to my face.
“Ah, if only life could be as romantic as the novels,” I mused aloud, pulling out some ingredients for a simple pasta dinner. I could almost hear the music of a grand ball, the gentle murmur of guests, and the rustle of elegant gowns. But reality, with its mundane routines and responsibilities, always seemed to pull me back.
After dinner, I washed the dishes and tidied up the kitchen, the longing for something more still settling over me like a gentle fog. I wanted adventure, romance, something extraordinary. The world in the pages of my beloved books felt more alive than my own.
I decided to take a walk to clear my head. The air outside was cool and crisp, a pleasant contrast to the warmth of the day. I wandered through my quiet neighborhood, the streets bathed in the soft glow of streetlights. As I walked, I thought about the characters from The Duchess of Avenia. Lady Eliza, with her grace and intelligence, and the Duke, with his strength and vulnerability, felt like old friends.
I found myself at the park, my favorite place to think and dream. I sat on a bench, gazing at the stars that began to twinkle in the evening sky. I closed my eyes and imagined myself at a grand ball, dressed in an elegant gown, the Duke approaching me with a charming smile. I could almost feel the warmth of his hand as he led me onto the dance floor.
With a sigh, I opened my eyes and stood up. It was getting late, and I had work in the morning. As I walked back home, the longing in my heart grew stronger. I knew it was foolish to wish for something so impossible, but I couldn’t help it. The world of The Duchess of Avenia was where I felt truly alive.
Back in my cozy apartment, I prepared for bed. I brushed my teeth, changed into my pajamas, and climbed under the covers. As I lay in the darkness, my mind wandered once more to the world of Avenia. I imagined myself as Lady Eliza, experiencing the highs and lows of courtly life, falling in love with the Duke, and overcoming the challenges that threatened their happiness.
I reached over to my nightstand, where a well-worn copy of "The Duchess of Avenia" always waited. I opened the book to my favorite passage and began to read, the words like a soothing lullaby. As I read, my eyelids grew heavy, and I felt myself drifting off to sleep.

The Next day.
Third person's POV
Y/N awoke the next morning with a start. The sun was just beginning to rise, casting a soft, golden light through her bedroom window. She felt a strange sense of disorientation, as if she had been somewhere else entirely. She shook her head, trying to clear the lingering fog of her dreams.
She sat up and swung her legs over the side of the bed, her feet touching the cool floor. As she stood up, she felt a wave of dizziness wash over her. She closed her eyes, gripping the edge of the bed for support. When she opened them again, the world around her had changed.
Y/N was no longer in her small apartment. Instead, she found herself in a grand, opulent bedroom, the likes of which she had only ever seen in her beloved novels. The walls were adorned with rich tapestries, and a crystal chandelier hung from the ceiling, casting a soft, shimmering light over the room.
Y/N’s heart raced as she took in her surroundings. She walked over to the large mirror that stood in the corner of the room. The reflection that stared back at her was not her own. She was dressed in an elegant, silk nightgown, her hair was of deep tone of red which was styled in loose, luxurious waves. She had a pale skin with beautiful blue eyes. She looked every bit the part of a lady of the court.
"This can't be real," She muttered, her voice sounding strange in the silence. "I must be dreaming."
As she tries to gather her thoughts, a soft knock at the door startled . Before she could respond, the door opened, and a maid entered, curtsying deeply.
“Good Morning, Lady Isabella"
