Chapter 36: Betrayal of a Dear one
⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅Hyunjin's POV
I watched Isabella hesitate as she reached the door to the infirmary room, her hand hovering just above the handle. The tension in her body was palpable, her eyes flickering with uncertainty. At the same moment, the rest of us reached the hallway. We had all felt the gravity of what was about to unfold—the truth we were about to confront.
Isabella’s shoulders tensed, and she stood frozen, clearly conflicted. I could see the internal battle raging within her. She had trusted Jasmine. We all had, but her trust had been deeper, more personal. Jasmine’s betrayal cut through her in ways I couldn’t fully understand, but I could see it in her downcast eyes, the way her hands trembled ever so slightly.
Without thinking, I stepped forward and took her hand in mine, offering her the comfort I knew she needed. Her hand was cold, but as our fingers intertwined, I gave her a gentle squeeze, hoping to offer even a small amount of strength.
"You’re not alone, Isabella," I whispered softly, meeting her eyes. "Whatever happens, we’ll face this together."
She hesitated for a moment longer, then nodded, her grip tightening around my hand. I gave her a reassuring smile as we walked into the room together, the others following behind.

Y/N's POV
The room felt heavy with unspoken tension as we entered, our steps soft against the cold tile floor. Jasmine lay in the bed, her face pale, her movements slow. She gave us a small smile, though it didn’t reach her eyes. The room smelled of antiseptic, a sharp reminder of the wound she had inflicted on herself—one that now seemed so calculated, so cold.
I felt my heart race, my stomach twisting in knots. How was I supposed to look at her? How was I supposed to ask her about what she'd done, after everything we’d been through? My voice felt lodged in my throat, the weight of our friendship, now shattered, making it hard to speak.
"How are you feeling, Jasmine?" I asked, my voice soft, almost hesitant.
Jasmine’s small smile remained, but there was something hollow behind it. "A bit dizzy still, but… I’m okay," she replied, her voice quiet. Her eyes darted between us, and she hesitated for a moment before continuing. "Thank you all for coming to check on me. I… Oh.....how is Jisung??. He was trying to protect me, and...d..."
Before she could finish, Hyunjin stepped forward, his expression darkening. "STOP!!........Just STOP. Stop Pretending." he said, his voice firm, laced with barely contained anger. "We know the truth now, Jasmine. We know you were the one who shot Jisung. We know you staged the whole scene."
Jasmine’s face went pale, and her eyes widened in shock. She blinked several times, as if processing his words, and then quickly shook her head. "No… no, I didn’t do anything! I don’t know what you’re talking about!" Her voice trembled, her hand clutching the bed sheets tightly.
Jeongin, who had been silently fuming, stepped forward as well, his fists clenched. "Don’t lie, Jasmine. Just tell us why you did it. Why did you kill Jisung?" His words were sharp, filled with frustration and disbelief.
Seungmin’s eyes burned with rage, his voice shaking with emotion as he joined in. "You must know where Changbin and Donghyuk have taken Eliza. Tell us now!"
Jasmine’s shocked expression turned into one of desperation. Her gaze darted around the room before it finally landed on me. I had been standing at the edge of the bed, silent and withdrawn, unable to process everything happening around me. She reached out and grabbed my hand tightly, her eyes pleading.
