Chapter 29: Tides of Change
⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅Felix’s POV
I hesitated for what felt like an eternity. Jeongin’s plan made sense, but the thought of continuing to pretend—of walking back into Changbin and Donghyuk’s grasp—made my stomach churn. I could already feel the weight of my actions crushing me. How was I supposed to carry on deceiving everyone around me?
But then, I thought of Eliza. Of how far I had gone to protect her, even though my methods had been unforgivable. This might be my only chance to make things right, even if it meant risking everything. With a deep breath, I nodded slowly, feeling the tension in the room lift just a little.
“I’ll do it,” I said, my voice barely above a whisper. “I’ll act like I’m still with them… and sabotage the plan from the inside.”
Jeongin’s face lit up with a satisfied smile. Hyunjin and Seungmin exchanged glances, but it was clear they were on board. There was no other way to expose Changbin and Donghyuk for who they really were.
Y/n’s POV
The moment I got home, the weight of everything that had happened hit me all at once. Felix, working with Changbin and Donghyuk? It didn’t seem real. How could someone I never expected be involved in this mess?
I needed to talk to someone—someone who could help me process all of this. Without thinking twice, I called over Jasmine at my house. She was was quick to come over.
As soon as she stepped into the room, I blurted it out, everything I had learned. Jasmine’s face shifted from confusion to shock as I explained how Felix had been part of Changbin and Donghyuk’s schemes from the start. The look in her eyes told me she couldn’t believe it either.“So… Felix was behind it all?” Jasmine asked, her voice tinged with disbelief. “Working with them?”
I nodded solemnly. “Yes. But… we have a plan now. Felix is going to act like he’s still helping them, and we’re going to sabotage whatever they try next.”
Jasmine leaned back, thinking it over. “That’s actually a brilliant idea. But we need to be careful. Changbin and Donghyuk won’t go down easily.”
I agreed, feeling the tension ease just a little. But something still felt off. Jasmine seemed to sense it too. “They’ll make a move soon,” she said, her eyes narrowing. “And I have a feeling it’ll be at the Winter Ball.”

Eliza’s POV
I sat with Seungmin as he explained the plan they had come up with.
I was hesitant at first as —Felix had gone too far already. How could we trust him after everything?
But Seungmin reassured me, telling me that Felix seemed genuinely remorseful and willing to set things right. Slowly, I began to see the sense in it, even though the thought of Felix working with *them* still left a bitter taste in my mouth.
After Seungmin left , my mind drifted back to Hyunjin. Things between us had been deteriorating for weeks now, and I couldn’t help but wonder if I was the reason for it all. I loved him—at least, I thought I did—but lately, it felt like we were on different paths. And I didn’t want to force it. If his heart wasn’t with me, then…. So be it.
______
The following days were a blur as everyone got busy preparing for the Winter Ball at the Hwang estate. We all helped out in its preparation- even Felix.
