Chapter 45: A Story Once Lived
⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅Y/N’s POV
“Y/N, wake up, or you’ll be late for work!”
The familiar voice pierced through the haze of my sleep, followed by a gentle shake on my shoulder. Groggily, I opened my eyes, squinting at the figure standing over me.
“Work?........Jisoo?” I mumbled, still not fully awake. My mind was foggy, my senses slow to catch up.
Why was Jisoo here?
She rolled her eyes and crossed her arms over her chest. “Yes, me. Who else would it be? You didn’t answer the door, so I used the spare key to get in. I’ve been ringing the bell for the past ten minutes! We’re going to be late for work if you don’t get moving.” She sighed, tapping her foot impatiently. “Sir Yoongi will have our heads if we’re late again.”
Her words snapped me out of my half-asleep state, and I bolted upright in bed. “Work! Oh no, I totally overslept!”
Jisoo smirked, clearly amused by my panic, and tossed a pillow at me. “Go on, get ready. I’ll wait.”
I scrambled out of bed and dashed to the bathroom to get ready

Jisoo and I rushed into the office, barely making it on time. Our colleagues, Soobin and Lia, were already inside, waiting for us at the door, their faces lighting up when we entered.
Lia grinned and crossed her arms, pretending to be stern. “We thought you weren’t going to show up.”
Jisoo shot me a playful glare. “Blame this sleepyhead,” she teased. “If I hadn’t used the spare key, we’d still be waiting for her to wake up.”
Soobin chuckled, shaking his head. “Let me guess.........Y/N woke up late again?” He winked at me. “Honestly, I don’t blame you. After the workload we’ve had lately, who wouldn’t sleep in? Yesterday was Sunday, after all.”
I laughed nervously, brushing off their comments. “Yeah, I guess I just really needed the rest.”
Jisoo raised an eyebrow, eyeing me curiously. “What did you even do last night that knocked you out so much? You were totally out of it this morning.”
I paused, trying to remember, but it was like my mind was blank.
What had I done last night?
Nothing came to mind. Now that's weird.
I frowned, shaking my head. “I honestly can’t remember. I must have been so exhausted from the week that I just passed out. It was nothing special, I promise.”
Jisoo seemed satisfied with that answer, and we all laughed it off. But that nagging feeling remained in the back of my mind—a strange sense of emptiness, like I was forgetting something important. Something that lingered just out of reach, teasing the edges of my consciousness.
"By the way guys, let's have dinner at my place and hang out.Its been so long" Lia beamed with excitement.
Soobin puts a finger at his chin like he is thinking hard. "Come to think of it. That's true."
Jisoo smiles. "Let's do it then it will be fun."
I joined in. "Yeah......I agree let's do it."
Lia looked at Soobin. "Soobin you can invite your cabin mate too.....what was his name again?"
