[Garfield, SpongeBob, and N are walking through a clearing. Garfield reads the label on the potion]
Garfield: "Happily Ever After Potion. Maximum strength. For you and your true love. If one of you drinks this, you both will be fine. Happiness, comfort and beauty divine."
SpongeBob: "You both will be fine"?
Garfield: I guess it means it'll affect Pomni, too.
[Garfield pops the cork out from the bottle]
SpongeBob: Hey, man, this don't feel right. My sponge senses are tingling all over. So why don't you just drop that jug o' voodoo and let's get out of here.
Garfield: It says, "Beauty Divine." How bad can it be?
[Garfield sniffs the potion and sneezes onto a mushroom]
SpongeBob: Aha! See, you're allergic to that stuff. You're gonna have a reaction. And if you think that I'll be smearing VapoRub all over your chest, think again!
N: Boss, just in case there is something wrong with the potion... allow me to take the first sip. It would be an honor to lay my life on the line for you.
SpongeBob: Oh, no, no. I don't think so. If there's gonna be any animal testing, I'm gonna do it. That's the best friend's job. Now give me that bottle.
[SpongeBob grabs the bottle with his mouth and chugs half of it down. Garfield grabs the bottle]
Garfield: How do you feel?
SpongeBob: Well, I don't feel any different. I look any different?
N: You still look like a sponge to me.
Garfield: Maybe it doesn't work on sponges. Well, here's to us, Pomni.
SpongeBob: Garfield? You drink that, there's no going back.
Garfield: I know.
SpongeBob: But, no more having a tail?
Garfield: I know.
SpongeBob: No more feeling fur?
Garfield: I know!
SpongeBob: But you love being a cat!
Garfield: I know! (sighs) But I love Pomni more.
SpongeBob: Garfield, no! Wait!
[Garfield drinks the rest of the potion. His belly starts rumbling, and SpongeBob and N take cover behind a log.]
Garfield:
SpongeBob: Ooh, got to be... I think you grabbed the "Burpy Ever After" potion.
N: Maybe it's something you eat.
Garfield: Or maybe Pomni and I were never meant to be.
[Suddenly, thunder sounds and gray clouds move in above them]
SpongeBob: Uh-oh. What did I tell you? I think I feel something coming on. I don't want to die. I don't want to die. I don't want to die!
[It starts raining]
SpongeBob: Oh, sweet sister, mother of mercy. I'm melting! I'm melting!
Garfield: It's just the rain, SpongeBob.
SpongeBob: [chuckles] Oh.
[As they walk off, they don't notice the mushroom Garfield sneezed on transform into a rose. They eventually come across an abandoned barn in the forest. Garfield opens the gates and they head inside]
[Garfield looks out from the barn, solemnly starting at Far Far Away way off in the distance. Garfield looks down at SpongeBob and pats his head]
SpongeBob: Garfield, don't worry. Things seem bad because it's dark and rainy and being friend with a drone. lt'll be better in the morning. You'll see. 🎶The sun'll come out...tomorrow. [yawns] Bet your bottom...🎶
Garfield: Bet my bottom?
SpongeBob: I'm coming, Elizabeth!
[SpongeBob rears back and falls to the floor unconscious]
Garfield: SpongeBob? Are you all right?
N: Hey, boss. Let's tuck him in.
Garfield: S-SpongeBob?..
[Garfield passes out and falls down.]
[Barty and Nan are sitting by a fireplace when Pomni walks in]
Barty: There you are! We missed you at dinner.
Nan: What is it, darling?
Pomni: Dad...I've been thinking about what you said. And I'm going to set things right.
Barty: Ah! Excellent! That's my girl.
Pomni: It was a mistake to bring Garfield here. I'm going to go out and find him. And then we're gonna go back to the forest where we belong.
[Pomni walks out of the room and grabs her suitcase. Barty and Nan follow her]
Nan: Pomni, please!
Barty: Let's not be rash, darling. You can't go anywhere right now.
[Pomni pushes open the front doors of the palace and looks out at the rain. Before she can step forward, she passes out and falls to the floor]
Barty: Pomni!
Nan: Pomni!
[Barty and Nan run over to Pomni and kneel over her]
[Posed similarly, N tucks Garfield and SpongeBob in. Before he lies down beside them]
[We see a bright, sparkling purple light emit from the barn. It fades]
[Barty and Nan tend to Pomni, who they have tucked into bed. Nan walks off, and Barty follows after lingering for a few moments]
[A similar bright light flashes in Pomni's room before fading]
