chapter 16: watching him fade away

Year 1996
Hogwarts Library.

my friends retrieved some entries but i'm still missing a lot of it. they retrieved 4 of them, in a span of 2 days. today is the start of easter break so i apparated to fairford.

i saw my father in the kitchen and he was surprised when he saw me.

"sirius is worried about you... why did you go at such extent severa?" he said.

"i'm sorry, dad..." i rushed to huh him.

"maximillian is also stressed out with what's happening. let me see your hand" i showed him my scars.

"oh my... severa..." he said and tears fell down on his eyes.

he just stared at my hands.

moments later he made something for me, while eating we heard a loud bang from the door.

"severa... go and stay behind now." he said and i went to the pantry.

minutes later i heard the door opened.

"is severa black here?" i heard a familiar voice.

"severa... she didn't came back for the easter break. i'm waiting for her, is there any problem?" said by my father.

"search the house"

my eyes widened and i heard footsteps entering, when i hear them about to open the pantry. i hurriedly chanted the disillusionment charm.

i saw the door opened, and i had an eye contact with that person.

"cleared" he yelled and closed the door.

my father and i are packing our stuff. we'll stay over at the grimmauld place. we're welcomed by padad and kreacher grabbed my luggage.

"i heard you were caught?"

i nodded and he grabbed my hand, he saw the scars.

"rest up, i'll tell maximillian you're here" padad said and they went to the meeting room of the order.

i went to the room i'm usually staying at and stared at the window. i stared at my scar, and i realized what's happening.

it's getting out of hand, i must not include my friends into my own mess or they might get expelled too. i sighed thinking about it.

should i just... run away?

dad and padad are for sure troubled with what's happening right now.

i really hate to think...

should i ask professor snape to help me? but he might get in trouble too.

maybe i should just do it all alone. when my decision was fixed, i grabbed my bag and stuffed it with some essentials. i wrote a note telling them not to look for me.

i grabbed max's jumper and apparated back to hogwarts. i decided to search thoroughly to each common rooms.

i first started to the gryffindor common room. i saw some students who didn't probably didn't go home to their respective homes.
