A couple nights later Allison was woken up by the sound of her dad up and around, so she quickly, and tiredly, went out to see what was up. Only to see him on his way out the front door, a full and heavy-looking duffle bag in hand. She instantly knew what tonight was.

"What's going on?" She asked him, now fully awake, and he stopped walking and turned towards Allison with a fake smile that looked almost real.

"Your aunt Kate just texted. I'm heading out to pick her up." He told her and she frowned more.

"But it's two o'clock in the morning. Is everything okay?"

"Yeah, yeah. She's just having a little car trouble."

"Not serious, is it?" Allison asked, knowing that Peter had attacked the woman. Kate wasn't that big of problem to her, the only thing she didn't like about the woman was how she burned a family of innocent people alive and kept going after kids. Although she did understand going after the pack, in Kate's eyes they turned her brother against her and killed her niece and sister-in-law and made her father hate her more than he already had.

"No, just a flat tire. Go-go back to bed, sweetheart." He told her and she nodded before going back to her room and quickly texting Derek that her aunt was in town and to go home, now.

And then she spent the rest of the night awake and reading a book in her closet, not wanting the light from her flash light to attract any unwanted attention.

When morning came she quickly got dressed and left for school, making sure to avoid Kate.

And after school Allison was on her way to her car- because she had gotten her license, by some grace of God over the weekend, and then she noticed all of the blocked cars. And right away she knew what was going on, so she ran over.

"Derek!" She said in worry as she got down next to him.

"Allison..." He sighed out, before going through a round of pain. "I was shot." Derek told her and she sighed with a nod.

"Kate. I texted you last night, didn't you get it?"

"Too late." Derek told her and she sighed.

"He's not looking so good, dude..." Stiles commented.

"Why aren't you healing?" Scott asked him, as Derek groaned in pain, his eyes squeezing shut for a moment, as Allison pulled him into her, running her fingers through his hair in worry.

"I can't. It was-it was a different kind of bullet." He told them.

"What, a silver bullet?" Stiles asked in excitement, and Derek shot him an irritated, bitchy expression.

"No, you idiot--" Derek started.

"Play nice, both of you." Allison told the who who sighed.

"Wait, wait-- that's what she meant when she said you had forty-eight hours..." Scott said with wide eyes.
