Y/n's pov
*We drive for about 15 minutes until we get to the train. We all step out. Okay, y/n. Now it's time for the plan to start, wave but wave nervously. Wait, can it even be classed as a nervous wave if, in reality, I'm not nervous, but to others, I am nervous but trying not to act nervous. Oh, who knows, just wave and sort of smile. And that's what I did I raised my hand and moved it in small left to right motions, I keep moving my eyes from towards the train where I was waving, to the cameras where there are people, to the floor trying to act scared. Oops, shit! I stumbled, almost tripping over. Well, that was embarrassing, at least it's not the end of the world, right? The people watching will think it was because I was scared, when in reality, it's because im trying to look at 3 things at once while still acting scared. Who knew acting scared was this goddamn hard. I enter the train after Wallace, and then suddenly Evangeline rushes past us, both turning right and then walking ahead.*
"Welcome to district 7's train." She says happily with a wide smile and her arms out.
"This is the lounging and dining cart. If you keep going straight on your right, you have the meeting room, and then ahead of there is the escort room, mine. Then the front of the train overlooking the tracks and where you're going, it has some sofas. Where as if you go down from where we are you have on the left the male tributes mentor's room and then the male tributes room and then the female tributes room and then the female tributes mentor's room. And then if you go through the automatic sliding door, you have the more social room at the back of the train, it has sofas, tv's, and a personal bar." Evangeline lists, pointing her hands in the direction she means. *Me and Wallace look at each other confused.*
"You two look slightly confused?" Evangeline asks.
"Sorry. It's just that you gave us such a big list in such a short amount of time." Wallace answers.
"Yeah, it's just a bit hard to remember." I say, still acting nervous.
"Oh, don't worry about that, sweethearts. There are labels on most of the doors, but if you are still confused, just ask me or the two mentors." Evangeline says cheerfully. *Now that she's done talking, I finally take in the room. It has tan walls with dark brown pattens and some brown wooden flooring. To my left, it has a long wooden table set with an array of food and more than enough chairs. A little bit ahead of that is an area of four emerald green chairs. And then slightly of to the left of that, there is a set of automatic sliding doors.*
"Why don't us three sit down while we wait for your mentors." Evangeline suggests. *I sit on the chair closest to the window, Wallace is to my left, and Evangeline is opposite him. Suddenly, the set of automatic sliding doors leading to the front of the train slide open, revealing man and women. I know the woman is Johanna Mason, and im not sure of the man's surname, but im pretty sure his first name is Blight. Evangeline turns her head around to see who it is.*
"Ah! We were just talking about you two. Y/n, Wallace. This is Blight Jordan, victor of the 57th Hunger Games, and Johanna Mason victor of the 71st Hunger Games." Evangeline says enthusiastically. *I see the woman, Johanna, roll her eyes at the crazy escort's comment. Evangeline stands up and gestures to the two mentors to sit.*
"You two sit down and talk to the tributes. I will just be out here." Evangeline says, leaving the cart.
"So, what are your two's names and ages?" Blight asks, now sitting down. *Blight is in front of Wallace, and Johanna is in front of me.*
"Wallace Ly, and I'm 17 years old." Wallace answers first. *Blight and Johanna now look towards me.*
"Y/n l/n, and umm yeah, I'm also 17." I reply, fiddling with my hands.
"Okay, so we have some older tributes." Blight says, nodding.
"Well, I'm Johanna, your mentor." Johanna says, looking at me.
"And I'm Blight, your mentor." Blight says, looking at Wallace.
"So, do you two have any skills?" Johanna asks.
"I can sort of use an axe. My dad tried teaching me, but I didn't learn much." Wallace admits.
"Umm, well. I'm like just above average speed, and I can climb a tree at an average speed." I lie. In reality, I'm definitely above average when it comes to speed, and I'm a really fast climber, and to add to that, I am deadly with an axe and pretty good at hand-to-hand combat.
"Okay, so not as good as we thought, but you'll have to do." Johanna says. *The set of sliding doors open again revealing Evangeline.*
"It has just gone one o'clock now, so why don't we have some food." Evangeline says, walking to the head of the table. *We all sit down. Evangeline at the head of the table, Johanna of to her right and then me to Johanna's right. Blight is off to Evangeline's left, and Wallace is to Blights left, opposite me.*
"Let's eat, shall we." Evangeline states that before adding some food to her plate, Johanna and Blight do the same. *I look across the table to see what food there is. There are several different types of soups, and about 5 different styles of bread rolls, some pots of butter are scattered around the table. I see Wallace start to take lots of food. I look at the set up in front of me, I have a white bowl with green rim's on top of a matching plate. I have one set of a knife, fork, and spoon but then also a second set but smaller. Why would you need 2 sets of cutlery, I guess it's just some capital madness. I take some plain tomato soup and place it in the bowl, and then 2 plain brown bread rolls and place the on the side of the plate. I completely discard the cutlery and use my hands to break apart the rolls and dip into the soup and then place into my mouth. As amazing as it tastes, I'm going to try my best not to eat more than I normally do. If anything, I'll eat less than I normally do. You need to get used to not being able to eat as much for a long period of time, that is something the lower district's have an advantage at, being used to having the under advised amount of food. I soon finish, and plan to go to my room.*
"If I may be excused, I'll head to my room now." I request.
"Yes, of course, sweetheart. Remember, your room is the third door on the left. Dinner will be at 7:00 but we will watch the reaping at 6:00." Evangeline says sweetly. *I stand up and leave the table, walking through the double doors to my room. I eventually get to my door, and it has "Female tribute" on it in gold. When I walk in, to my left is a double bed with green bedding, a bed side table either side up against a brown with tan patterned wall, on the rest of the walls are tan with brown patterns. To my right, there is a brown sofa with a wooden table in front of it and then a TV on the wall. Up against the furthest wall, there is a door that leads into a bathroom. This room is probably almost as big as the whole downstairs of my house. Why do you need this much room just for getting to the capital. I lay on the bed and start to plan out the rest of the time on the train. Okay, so I will stay in here till about 5:50pm in case I get lost and then go out to watch the reaping and that's when my observation of the tributes will start, I'll have dinner but again not eat to much, I'll get back to my room and sleep and then go to breakfast and then the capital. I'm pretty sure from the second you get to the capital, you get prepared for the tribute parade. I'll have to decide the rest when I'm in the capital because who knows what will happen there. All I hope is I don't get stuck in some stupid outfit, last years tributes were covered in leafs, mud, and bark being literal trees.*
Don't forget, if I've made mistakes, feel free to correct me.
I hope you enjoyed!
