this is an idea jayoungr on reddit had:
Delia's talent is to make conversation - a skill that actually used to be very important to women in certain levels of society, useful to make important friends and even defuse situations.
IMO this is a way in which she even rose to a significant job at department 6, since she was intelligent and could argue for her justified promotion really well. This is a skill that comes in handy several times during Legacy - she uses her words, and it works.
And of course, this is something her friends can do as well - Clary is high society, she is a pro at conversation-making, Darry uses her skills to gently try and get information (for a scene where my favourite actress for this role plays a character with conversation skills, see her dance scene with Anthony during season 2 of Bridgerton).
Even Amber, who is working class, is good at this in her way - in addition to her kindness towards people, she's also the groups' go-to person when they need to get information from someone who might not want to talk to someone from the upper classes right away.
I'd like this for a general theme in the show - the characters use their words to get ahead a lot, which most people around them don't expect :)
