Arko's POV
"You still can't find the girl?" our lord asked me when I arrived from the human world.
I knelt down and bowed. "She's not in the human world, my lord. We did our best but we couldn't find her there."
"Hmmm. Then she must be here somewhere." he stood up and took a glass with wine.
"I think so, my lord."
I closed my eyes when he threw the glass in my direction. "You think so?! May I remind you that I gave you a very easy task, Arko?"
"I'm sorry, my lord. I will tell my army to-"
"Stop wasting time. I already found the girl." he said calmly and poured wine into another glass.
"Y-You found her?"
"She's in the Academy. That is the only place where she can stay. Didn't you think about that?"
"I'm sorry, my lord. Her parents said they sent her in a safe place. In a place far away from our world."
"And you believed that? I thought you were the smartest of all my men."
"Forgive me."
"I know she will leave the Academy soon. Find a way to get her and bring her here to me."
I nodded and stood up. "Yes, my lord."
"Don't hurt her. She's important."
"Yes, my lord." I was about to leave but then a questionin my mind popped up. "Can you tell me why are you so curious about the girl?"
"Why do you think I'm curious about the girl, Arko?"
"She was raised in the human world." I answered and he nodded.
"That's why we need to know why. Did her parents talked?"
"Unfortunately, no. They didn't tell us a single thing. They protected their daughter."
Even in the last breath of those two, they did nothing but to protect their daughter. They fought and made sure that none of us will go after her but there were too many of us and they were getting tired.
"How about their house? Did you see something?"
I shook my head. "Nothing. Sinunog nila ang bahay nila para masiguradong wala kaming makukuha kahit isa."
"Hmmm... matalino sila. Nakita nyo naman siguro ang muka ng babae."
"Yes, my lord. Kaya kaya naming mahanap ang babae dahil alam namin ang itsura niya."
"Bring her to me as soon as possible. I wanna get to know her."
"Yes, my lord." tumalikod na ako pero narinig ko siyang nagsalita pa.
"It's either they were hiding from someone or..."
"Or what, my lord?"
"Or hiding someone."
Solanna's POV
"Stick together." Fire said and walked out of the Academy first.
After we got out, I closed my eyes for a moment as I remembered the day Mom pushed me into the portal.
"Hey, you okay?" Anais asked me. I nodded and smiled.
We continued walking until we got out of the forest and entered a village. There are people here but it was quiet. Others who saw us even bowed their heads and left to give way to us.
I adjusted the black cloak I was wearing and lowered the hood so that my eyes are covered. We all wore black cloaks over our black clothes. Black fitted pants and black croptop with a zipper in the front. The men also wear black pants and a black t-shirt.
