She gave her all to him. Her attention, love, care, and kindness. All was for him. But the return? Sorry, not so grateful one. Just the fact that she was used as a toy, a substitute for his vulgar desires. A crisp slap that woke her up and shattered her fantasy world.
Pretty good. Living up to the phrase- Blind love is just a sweet poison. But whether she would let that poison drown her was another thing.
Philia Gardens was just another happy-go-lucky wealthy girl living an ordinary life. At least until she met the person who turned her life upside down.
Ryan Hansen was a second generation young master. Unlike other obnoxious wealthy playboys, he was a serious, cold faced man who was the CEO of the company Philia’s family was collaborating with.Their meeting was a fairly dramatic one. A tyrant president saving a falsely accused damsel in distress. A perfect romantic scene. Just that this meeting wasn’t at all headed in the direction of happiness for Philia. However, Philia, oblivious to her future, fell in love at first sight with Ryan.
So the moment a marriage proposal from his family came, was obviously the moment when Philia was successfully curtained by the veil of a happy love. Agreeing to the arrangement, she was unable to notice the subtle things that were pointing to a red flag. His never smiling face, his indifferent attitude towards the engagement, even his heartless abandonment after their first intimacy. Everything.
Their wedding day. That was the day she finally realized the position she was in.
Quite heartbreaking but can’t be helped. She finally saw the person she was substituted for. More disgustingly, that was his sister. A half blooded one and eleven years younger than him.
She had been struck dumb the moment she had seen that sister of his. Her face was pretty similar to hers, especially her eyes. A vermilion color. She also had the exact same pair of eyes as hers.
And all this took place after two years of her relationship with Ryan. His sister had been studying abroad all the while.
She had refused to accept reality. She still got married to Ryan and never thought much about what she had seen. Maybe it was just a coincidence?Aha! Here comes a perfect hit from reality!
What could be better than being used as a substitute? Ah, yes. There’s still more. His sister loved him too. Now then, what was she? Maybe the most hated spiteful woman between miserable couples.
Such a touching love story. The guy loved his step young sister, but then he was forced to marry another woman. That another had used her authority to get what she wanted, no matter what. The younger sister, who also loved her ‘brother’ couldn’t handle the heartbreak and attempted to kill herself. The guy, who was ‘suffering’ already, couldn’t see his beloved getting hurt so he finally ‘escaped’ the ‘evil woman’ for his love. Seeing such a heartbreaking reunion, his friends and family, with tears in their eyes, couldn’t help but give them their blessings and throw the ‘evil woman’ out of their family. The End.
The hell is so touching??!
Philia, the so-called ‘evil woman’, could swear on her miserable little life that she had asked for Ryan’s opinion on the marriage more than once! The f@#* is ‘forced into marriage’??? How come she didn’t know the ‘force’ she had used??! Ah, and that pair of step siblings, the miserable couple. A certain messed up blood sure runs through their veins. That delicate white little flowery sister was nowhere near pure! Her schemes were more deranged than the spines of a cactus! Accusing Philia of abusing her, taking credit for something Philia had done, just lengthen the list with all one can find in a two faced mistress.
Either way, she was out of this mess. And the so-called ‘thrown away’ didn’t happen as she was the one slapping their faces with divorce papers after three to four months of her useless marriage. She definitely wasn’t someone that could be messed with. (Do point this out that she was messed with until she felt like a damn clown of a circus.)A nice ‘first love’ experience. Heh.
Now let’s move towards the so-called ‘happy ending’ of a touching soap opera. After just six months of Ryan’s divorce, the sister ran away with all her family’s money. She was nowhere to be found at the moment. And finally the situation reaches the present, where Philia is sitting face to face with a pitiful dog named Ryan, sipping on her coffee that lost its taste the moment she saw a certain creature. Ryan was babbling about something she really didn’t want to hear about. His regrets. Now then, let’s adopt a change in the opera’s plot. The ‘evil woman’ was the true victim. Which she, no doubt, really was. The accusations she suffered weren’t as much as the grains of rice in a 50 kg sack. And her husband was always in the front row, raising his hand like a good student, in regularly accusing her.
But that didn’t matter anymore. Ryan, the pitiful regretting scum, finally got to the point, “I’m really sorry. Can we get back together?”Philia expected this and her replies were also ready, “Why? A thrown away toy isn’t something you can get back at will, you know? It either ends up in the hands of a beggar or simply gets recycled somewhere. And the abandoned toy really has no reason to walk back to its heartless owner from the hands of a beggar who cherishes it, no?”
With that she simply left a wedding invitation for Ryan, who had suffered the shock of who knows what degree.
Philia’s expectations and love were surely met with a cliff’s edge. But if one can tie a rope and climb down that cliff, maybe the bottom of the cliff holds the exact perfect little village one was hoping for?She did love Ryan to the point of feigning ignorance towards his infidelity for their marriage. She had hoped and hoped for a change for too long. Three years of unrequited love, two years of facing an indifferent fiancé and finally four months of messed up marriage. A person could take only so much.
If one can learn to love, one can also learn to see through its rose tinted blindfold and face a ‘not anymore’. Why not?
