It was later in the evening when Garrison yelled that dinner was ready. Cameron was resting on the bed exhausted from his first day. He did not see Christian since they returned from the Martins.

Dinner was meat and potatoes which made Cameron's stomach rumble as soon as he saw it set out on the table.

"Looks like someone is hungry," Garrison laughed.

"Yes, I am, sir." Cameron replied.

"Drop the formalities, please call me Garrison."

Cameron replied with a nod and smile.

Christian came into the room with a look on his face Cameron couldn't quite make out.

Elise was still at her friend's, so it was just the three men for dinner.

"Let's eat boys." Garrison announced from his seat at the head of the table.

"Something on your mind, son," Garrison asked, also noticing the look on Christian's face.

"No, Dad, I am fine." Christian answered curtly.

"Now I know something is wrong with you, spit it out." Garrison replied.

Christian looked toward Cameron, "What did Mr. Martin say to you in the house while we were there? I saw him whispering to you?"

Cameron gulped and felt the piercing eyes of both Lees on him. "Um...he just warned me about how much work I'll be doing and to get on Garrison's good side." Cameron answered with a short laugh.

Garrison laughed hard believing the boy, but the look in Christian's eye showed he wasn't convinced.

The three continued with their meal with small talk being shared mostly between the elder Lee and Cameron.

-Time Skip-

It was now time for bed as Christian warned the two boys had a big day ahead of them tomorrow. Cameron was unsure how sleeping in the same room as Christian would pan out. The room was not very big for having two beds in it; they could basically hear each other breathe from their positions.

Christian went to the bathroom first to get ready for bed. While he was gone, Cameron sat on the bed thinking of everything he experienced on his first day. Christian seemed to be one big mystery to him and that intrigued him. Cameron would just say he is a curious person. Cameron was taken out of his thoughts when the door opened revealing Christian who was shirtless just wearing pajama bottoms.

"Are you always shirtless," Cameron grumbled.

"Don't pretend you don't like it." Christian said confidently.

"I already told you I don't. I am not gay!" Cameron snapped back.

Cameron missed how Christian's eyes lost their sparkle and to avoid the situation getting any more awkward Christian nodded and headed to bed.

Cameron felt bad for snapping at the boy, but he just wanted to go to bed at this point.

Cameron came back into the room about ten minutes later. Christian watched as Cameron got into bed and snuggled into the comfy sheets.

"Good night, Cameron." Christian said quietly.

Cameron nodded and entered dreamland.

-Time Skip-

It was the next day; Cameron woke up abruptly due to the blaring alarm going off in the room. Cameron opened his eyes, adjusting them to the light of a new day.

Christian was already dressed and sitting on the bed staring at Cameron with a smile on his face.

"Wake up sleepyhead," Christian said happily.

"What's the point of having an alarm if you're up before it anyways," Cameron grumbled out.

"Perks of living on a farm, I guess. I'm up when the sun goes up. You will soon too!" Christian said.

"Just great," Cameron replied.

"I am going inside; I expect to see you for breakfast in 15." Christian said.

"Yeah, yeah." Cameron waved his hand and turned the other direction.

Cameron entered the kitchen to see Christian cooking at the stove.

"I didn't know you cook." Cameron pointed out.

"There's a lot you don't know about me." Christian said laughing.

Cameron sat at the table. He saw a newspaper with the headline..."WAR RAGING ON IN EUROPE..."

Before Cameron could touch the newspaper, Garrison put a firm hand on Cameron's shoulder.

"Don't worry too much about it, war won't be affecting us right boys." Garrison said confidently.

"That's right Dad." Christian answered.

"How can you be so sure," Cameron inquired.

Garrison looked at the boy and smiled. "Europe's got problems, my boy. We don't get involved...War doesn't affect us. It's that simple."

Cameron just nodded and ate his breakfast Christian just served him.
