The full moon illuminated the sky contrasting the pitch black of night. It was windy, the sound of trees dancing could be heard as well as puffs of breath leaving a certain young man's mouth. Christian was running and running. Cameron didn't know the terrain of the area, but did that make it easier or harder for Christian to find him? Christian had just reached the entrance of the woods. Rustling could be heard causing a shiver to go down Christian's spine. With a deep breath, Christian walked further into the woods.
Christian felt cold, scared, anxious. He wanted to throw up. He had an itch he couldn't scratch. What was he going to find?
Christian heard the sound of a voice not that far into the woods.
Cameron.
Christian took slow and steady steps until the view of Cameron took over his senses. He could smell his cinnamon scent. He could hear his deep and smooth voice. He could see the tall figure with his bulging muscles in his tight black shirt. The usually strong and fierce man was pacing back and forth, hands covering his ears, as he rambled on saying something Christian couldn't make out. Christian wanted to cry from the sight. What was going on in Cameron's head?
Cameron's POV
My whole life has been a lie. I don't know who I am. I'm so afraid and alone. I need to pace back and forth hoping to get these thoughts, these voices out of my head.
"Go away! Go away!"
I can't stay still. My body is on overdrive. I can't think, I can't concentrate. I want to punch something, but I want someone to hold me and comfort me and tell me it will be okay. I cry harder and harder, but no matter how hard I cry these voices won't go away. I smell a familiar smell. I smell caramel and chocolate.
Christian.
We make eye contact, and my heart is racing. I have been so mean to him, but I am just like him. How can I ever talk to him again? I just want love.
Third Person POV
Christian announced his presence with a voice not above a whisper, "Cameron, its Christian"
Cameron didn't respond.
Christian walked over and upon closer look he could see tears streaming down Cameron's face.
Christian reached out putting his cold and clammy hand on the broad shoulder. This seemed to awaken Cameron out of whatever trance he was in.
"Cameron," Christian said quietly.
Cameron cried even harder seeing the elder boy. Was this a good or bad thing? Christian wasn't sure. What he definitely wasn't expecting was for Cameron to throw himself in Christian's arms.
Warmth. Comfort. Home.
That's what this hug felt like for Christian. His cold body felt like it was on fire being in Cameron's embrace.
"I couldn't do it" Cameron said over and over again "I couldn't do it"
Christian was confused until he remembered what his sister told him earlier that night. His eyes blew wide when things started clicking in his head.
But not now, now is not the time to talk about that.
What Cameron needed was comfort, and Christian was more than happy to give that to him.
"It's okay, let it out" Christian said rubbing Cameron's back letting him know that he could cry on his shoulder.
"I'm such a disappointment" Cameron cried out
Christian disliked Cameron talking so lowly of himself. "You are not a disappointment, you're human." Christian said.
"I'm so sorry," Cameron said, hugging Christian a little tighter.
"What are you apologizing for?" Christian asked.
Cameron broke the hug much to Christian's disappointment.
"I have been nothing but mean to you, and you didn't deserve any of it. I wouldn't forgive me, but I hope you..." Cameron was interrupted when Christian threw himself in the younger's arms.
"It's okay. I forgive you." Christian breathed out.
Cameron backed up a little and cradled Christian's neck with his right hand and stroked his cheek with his left.
"You're so beautiful" Cameron breathed out.
Christian closed his eyes as tears escaped them.
This moment felt so raw, vulnerable, tender for both boys.
"Cameron..." Christian started but was interrupted.
"Can I kiss you?" Cameron asked.
This cleared Christian's mind a little. "Only if you want to because of feeling and not experiment." Christian said clearly. He was vulnerable at this moment, and he was doing his best to protect his feelings.
Cameron nodded in understanding and then not even a second later he latched his lips with Christian's.
A spark of fire engulfed the two boys. The feeling was intense. Cameron felt his body elevate to another world when Christian wrapped his arms around his neck and pushed his tongue into his mouth. This is how a kiss should feel.
After a few, the two pulled away due to the lack of oxygen.
"Let's go somewhere," Christian said.
"Where?" Cameron asked.
"This weekend...It's a holiday meaning no chores, no parents, no responsibilities. Let's go to my family's campsite on the river. Clear our minds?" Christian asked with a sense of hope.
"I'd love that." Cameron replied.
Christian jumped excitedly. "We can leave tomorrow! Let's go home and pack some things."
"Okay." Cameron was hesitant, nervous almost. Christian noticed right away.
"What's wrong?"
The tips of Cameron's ears turned right as he looked like a plum. "C-Can I hold your hand?"
Christian almost let out an "Aw" but held himself back. Christian didn't even reply and just took a hold of the other's bigger hand.
Before the two entered the house, Cameron stopped them.
"I still don't know...I am unsure...I..." Cameron was stumbling over his words.
Christian has an idea of what Cameron is referring to.
"It's okay, we'll go slow, okay?"
Cameron nodded and opened the door for Christian. Christian was pondering his thoughts. He wanted this so badly. Is this too fast? Is he going into this blind? He won't get hurt, right?
