Christian wanted to leave for their camping site before Garrison woke up; he would ask too many questions. The boys walked into their room and Cameron was in charge of packing clothes and that sort while Christian grabbed supplies from their shed. Elise heard the noise from her bedroom and came outside. She walked into the boy's room and saw Cameron packing a duffel bag.
"What's going on?" She asked startling Cameron.
"Christian and I are going to the campsite."
Elise held back her smirk.
"Elise, I am very sorry for the way I treated you. You deserve the best, and I can't give that to you." Cameron said.
"It's okay. Just don't hurt him, okay?"
"I would rather die than hurt Christian. I've hurt his feelings in the past and I live with that guilt."
"I will take care of my father, you two leave as soon as you can." Elise smiled at the elder.
"Thank you." Cameron said.
-Time Skip-
The two boys had packed the truck, Garrison's truck, and Christian started it up mentally groaning at how loud the engine was. Luckily, Garrison didn't wake up.
"How long does it take to get there?" Cameron asked.
"About two hours."
"Good because I am tired."
Christian smiled at Cameron as he tossed and turned in the seat trying to get comfortable. Finally, the movement stopped, and Christian heard soft snores from next to him.
Christian thought about him and Cameron. They kissed! But Cameron was so adamant on saying he was straight. What changed? Should he trust Cameron? Christian then remembered the point of this trip was to clear their minds. At this point, he was just going with the flow. But, at the same time, he didn't want to get hurt again.
-Time Skip-
Christian just pulled into the campsite. It was Garrison's private property, so no one else would bother them. It was a big area surrounded by trees. To the left, was a little area with smaller trees that Christian used to call his garden when he was little. To the right was the river where he would go swimming with Elise. He smiled at his memories and was excited to make new memories here with Cameron.
Christian turned toward Cameron and rubbed his arm. "We're here," Christian said quietly.
"Huh? Oh, we made it?" Cameron stretched out bones popping in the process.
"Yes, let's unpack the truck and set everything up," Christian said excitedly.
"Oh no!" Christian said after a couple of minutes.
"What's the matter?" Cameron came running to the truck where Christian was unloading their things.
"I brought the small tent instead of the big one! It can barely fit two people."
Cameron blushed, but he didn't want Christian to feel bad. "It's okay we can just sleep in that one"Cameron missed Christian's small smile of victory.
"Have you ever been camping before?" Christian asked.
"Once with my parents when I was younger."
"Okay, your job is setting up the tent."
"And what will you be doing?" Cameron asked
"Drinking my tea while I watch you." Christian sassed Cameron.
Cameron rolled his eyes and laughed.
