Cameron woke up early one morning sneaking into the kitchen to begin his plan. Christian was completely healed now, so Cameron was finally going to take him on a date. Cameron made them little sandwiches and packed them into a bag for later. He then went into the bedroom to wake his love. Cameron sat on Christian's side of the bed and peppered kisses all over his face. Christian woke up to the ticklish feeling. Once he realized what was going on he closed his eyes soaking up all the affection Cameron was more than happy to give.
"We're going on a date today, baby" Cameron said happily
"Where," Christian said, a little skeptical.
"It's a surprise, but don't worry it's safe for us." Cameron got up and began taking clothes out for them. "Where are your swimming clothes, baby?" Cameron asked.
"Isn't it a little cold for that?" It was already the end of October.
"Not at all, it's really warm out today!" Cameron said. Christian thought Cameron was losing his mind, but he went along with it.
"They're in the third drawer." Christian answered as he got out of the bed.
The two boys changed and were heading out the door.
"You have my dad's keys?" Christian asked, surprised.
"Yeah, but don't worry I got permission this time." Cameron laughed.
Cameron went to the driver side leaving Christian with his mouth agape.
"You coming?" Cameron laughed.
"Cameron, do you even know where you're going?"
"Of course I do, I found a place while we were driving home from camping, and you were still asleep," Cameron explained.
"You planned this from long ago?" Christian asked with tears building up in his eyes.
"Yes, love." Cameron said.
The two got in the truck and were on their way.
-Time Skip-
Cameron made a right turn after going straight for miles and miles. Christian had never seen this area before. It looked like cliffs. Cameron parked the car and went on Christian's side to help him out of the car. Christian looked around wide-eyed. He pushed away a branch and saw at the bottom of this cliff was a small swimming pool. It looked pretty deep, but he didn't even know this existed. They're in Iowa for Pete's sake!
"You were knocked out that afternoon we drove back, I stopped here once I saw it and made sure it's safe. But if you don't want to jump, we can just sit here and eat." Cameron lifted up the bag of sandwiches.
Christian jumped into Cameron's arms and hugged him tight. "I love you, Cameron"
"I love you too," Cameron said, wrapping his arms around Christian's waist.
Christian grabbed Cameron's hand and pulled him to sit on the rock. Cameron gave one of the sandwiches to Christian.
"When did you know you loved me?" Christian asked, breaking the comfortable silence.
"That night after my date with Elise when I was so in my head. I smelled your scent, and it calmed me down. You smell like chocolates." Cameron smiled. "No one has ever had that kind of effect on me before. You're so special to me" Cameron said seriously.
Christian smiled.
"When did you know, baby?"
"When I met you for the first time, I knew you were going to make a big impact on my life. I didn't know what that meant at the time, but it felt like I was a magnet being drawn to you. The feeling was intense. And you make me feel so shy and vulnerable. No one has ever done that to Christian Lee." Christian admitted.
The boys finished their sandwiches and Christian decided to jump at least once to try it. He was nervous which Cameron picked up on. It wasn't cold, surprisingly, but it was a pretty high jump.
"Are you sure you can do this? We can just go home and relax." Cameron said, kissing the top of Christian's head.
"I want to." Christian said, determined.
"How about we hold each other's hands and jump together"
Christian nodded his head in agreement and reached for Cameron's hand.
"One, two, three," The two boys ran up and jumped.
Christian felt the wind blow in his hair. He's never felt more exhilarated. The two made a big splash plummeting in the water. It was a little chilly, but nothing they couldn't handle.
Cameron came up first and didn't see Christian. He panicked trying to see in the water where Christian was. He turned behind him and saw nothing. Christian then jumped up and scared the daylights out of Cameron. Cameron was trying to catch his breath.
"You're mean," Cameron said, breathing heavily.
Christian couldn't stop laughing.
"I got you," Christian said cutely.
Cameron grabbed Christian's waist and pulled him against his chest. Cameron stared into those brown eyes before he gently attached their lips together. The kiss was soft and sweet expressing their love for each other.
The two jumped out of the water and headed home with more love in their hearts than ever before.
