The bus made an abrupt stop after miles upon miles of uneven road. The door creaked open followed by a gust of warm summer heat. Cameron Parker stood up from his seat and walked to the front thanking the driver for the trip. Cameron took a deep breath; in front of him read a sign "Welcome to Iowa." Cameron walked further until he came to the town center. Girls saw his luscious blonde hair and blue eyes and giggled to each other about the handsomeness of the newcomer. Cameron picked up a newspaper and looked at the date "September 1, 1941." Cameron took the paper under his arm and continued on.
Cameron comes from a poor family in Missouri. After his strict parents saw Cameron drinking a bottle of liquor with friends, they thought they needed to "straighten" the boy out. Cameron is 20 years old and is fully capable of living his life on his own accord. Well, that's what Cameron thinks at least. Cameron never had a relationship, not even a first kiss. It wasn't by his choice it was just that the opportunity never presented itself.
Cameron's father had a friend in Iowa named Garrison Lee who owned a farm that needed to be tended too since Garrison's son Christian was a bit of a character. Cameron's father didn't think twice and before Cameron could even blink, he was on the bus to Iowa.
Cameron walked into a candy shop where the smell of caramels and sweets penetrated his nose. He walked up to the counter and saw a pretty young woman working the counter. Her name tag read "Elise."
"Hello, what can I do for you?" Elise asked with a small blush. Cameron didn't seem to notice.
"I was wondering if you could give me directions to Lee farm?" Cameron asked with his rough voice.
"Are you Cameron?" Elise asked, all excited.
"Yes, ma'am, I am."
"Lovely! Garrison Lee is my father; I am Elise Lee. He will be picking me up in ten minutes. You could come back with us!" Elise said, bouncing on her toes.
Cameron thought this girl was way too cheery for him and just sent her a small awkward smile. Elise smiled back and finished up her work for the day.

Cameron was looking around at the candies when he heard the little bell on the door ring signifying someone just walked in. Cameron's eyes fell on a 6-foot-tall mountain. The man was tall, tan, had a beard, and looked like he had just spent 10 hours doing hard labor in hell. Cameron was horrified.
"Daddy!" Elise screeched and ran up to the man.
"Hi Princess!" The man replied.
Cameron awkwardly coughed, gaining the attention of the elder man.
"Who are you? You weren't making any trouble for my daughter, now, were you?" The man asked not so nicely.
"No, of course not, sir. I am Cameron Parker. I just came here from Missouri." Cameron answered, scared to say the wrong thing.
The man's demeanor instantly changed. "Oh, you're my new help! I am Garrison Lee, please excuse my rudeness, we don't get many newcomers around here." Garrison laughed.
"I understand sir." Cameron replied feeling a little more comfortable.
"Where are your things?" Garrison asked, looking at the single duffel bag Cameron had in his hand.
"This is all I have sir." Cameron replied.
"That won't do. Christian will have to bring you to get more clothes from the Martins." Garrison sighed.
"Christian?" Cameron asked not recognizing the name.
"My son." Garrison clarified.
Cameron oh 'ed at the new information. With that, the three were on their way to the farm.

The trio arrived at the small house which surprisingly looked homey. Cameron awkwardly stood by the door not knowing where to set his bag which was noticed by Elise right away.
"I hope you don't mind but you will be sharing a room with my brother, Christian. We don't have an extra room. He's 22 and kind of a character." Elise laughed, not missing the chance to steal a touch on Cameron's hand bringing him toward the rooms.
Cameron thought it over and it's not like he can say no. He is already here against his will.
Elise slammed on the door to what Cameron assumed was Christian's room. "I hope you're decent." She opened the door and the two were met with quite the sight.
Dirty dishes on the dresser, clothes everywhere, and a scent Cameron could not pinpoint. Best of all Christian was sitting shirtless on his bed.
"I'm going to Chelsie's house, see you later Cameron." Elise announced and walked out.
Cameron cautiously walked into the room and introduced himself.
"Hi, I'm Cameron. Um, I am going to be working with your father." Cameron said awkwardly.
"I know who you are." Christian said. Cameron was surprised by the deep voice of the elder.
"You're fucking hot." Christian said next.
Cameron turned beet red. "I don't... Um... I don't feel that way about boys." Cameron stammered out.
"Let's see if you're still saying that in one month, baby." Christian kissed Cameron's cheek and walked out, still shirtless.
What did Cameron get himself into?
