Everything is gone.

The sweet smell of flowers and nature which used to be so pure and a signature to this court is now replaced by ash and still burning wood.

The heat, normally provided by the bright and warm sun, now comes from dying fires and embers.

Most everything was still, except for the air, as small gray particles carried on smoke and a false wind circulate around.

She barely notices the soles of her feet turning that same gray, nor her hair, clothes, or face either. She stumbles, in a daze, mind not set on anywhere really but her legs taking her down that one familiar road.

The manor comes into her blurry vision.

Or at least what's left of it.

The broken down door, the slightly caved in roof.. all of it is the complete opposite of what she last remembered.

She somehow makes her way up and through the doorway, eyes downcast, feet dragging. There's nothing for her to lose anyway.

She walks farther in, swearing there's some noise reaching her muffled ears, some voice.. a woman's?

Her arm brushes the ornate and somehow still intact vase to her left. It's immediately knocked off the small table, and the shattering noise is so loud it's all Elara can do to cringe at it, stepping back from the shards of glass near her feet.

It's not natural, the darkness that takes over her now, and she knows it.

She doesn't feel her body dropping to the ground, as it surely must have, as her consciousness slips through her fingers like water.

So......

yay..? I'm back....!

*me praying no one finds a way to jump through screens to strangle me*

there are many things I need to address, first being YES I abandoned all of you and Elara for some time and for that I am on my knees begging and groveling for your forgiveness.

second UHM where did 6000 of you come from? like seriously 6000 of you saw this thing written by me and were like 'yup, uh huh, I likes' LIKE EXCUSE ME???!!!

seriously, I will absolutely be doing much much better moving forward, Elara will be worked into my daily schedule and WILL NOT BE FORGOTTEN

this was a very short chapter, but think of all the possibilities for the future! next chapter is (hopefully) going to be heavier, longer, and wellllll... interesting for our poor girl. and I know everyone absolutely hates me for losing out lovely Aster and if I were to take a poll for 'which character should come back' she would most likely win, but unfortunately for her and our poor, poor, absolutely tortured characters, Aster will be staying dead.

as always, all of you must eat and drink and sleep and TAKE CARE OF YOURSELVES or else you wont be able to read the next chapter <3

love you all so so much, thank you for reading this and sitting through my yapping, and for being endlessly patient with my very busy life.

~your lovely authoress
