What If Tim And Lucy Were Childhood Best Friends?

Tim: "Did you not think to call?"

Lucy: "You don't understand!"

He slammed his hand down on the wheel.

Tim: "Sure i didn't!"

Lucy: You really don't, tim. My mom forced me away to Florida for 6 WHOLE years.!"

Tim: "Didn't call? Not once?"

Lucy: "My mom never let me call you. Tell me this did our moms ever call after i moved away?"

Tim: "No. I spent all of elementary and high school without friends because i couldn't even make any i was so used to you and now of course im your T.O."

Lucy: "Again, not my fault."

Tim: "Fine then. Let's keep it civil but may i point it out i'm not your friend i am your boss."

Lucy: "Yes sir.." she muttered under her breath whilst rolling her eyes.

Suddenly the radio chirped.

"We have a shoplifter on (address)*

Lucy: "7-adam-19 show us responding"

They saw the guy running with his shirt filled with candy. Tim pulled over and lucy opened the door making him fall. Lucy got out and arrested him. She saw tim smiling. Not a huge smile but a smirk he was definitely proud.

At the end of shift tim came up to her.

Lucy: "sir i-"

Tim: "good work today boot.

Lucy: "Thanks."

TIM BRADFORDS POV

I went home after a long shift with Lucy. Too long of a shift with Lucy in fact. It got me thinking, i missed her more than anything and the minute i see her again i feel resentment. I couldn't even sleep thinking about it maybe i should've told grey about our history but it seemed.. unnecessary.

The next day before roll call i went to sergeant grey.

Grey: "Tim, take a seat."

Tim: "Sir i have something important to tell you that i should've told you when i first got assigned with Lucy."

Grey: "I'm listening."

Tim: "Lucy was my best friend as a child but she moved away when she was 6 and returned to California when she was 12. We never spoke again until now."

Grey: "That sounds difficult officer bradford."

Tim: "It is sir."

Grey: "I'm here if you need anything."

Tim: "thank you."

I left his office and headed to roll call. I couldn't take my eyes off chen. I missed her so much but it was hard to forgive her after she walked away.

Grey: "stay safe out there"

Lucy got the war bags as i got in the shop. I still had to challenge her but it was so hard. She was a good cop and i still couldn't fathom how we were in the same station and i was her T.O. I knew it wouldn't change anything but i let her drive. It would show that i was still going to be hard on her but after what she said to me. I think im starting to ease up on her.
