What If Tim And Lucy Were Childhood Best Friends?

TIM BRADFORDS POV

I woke up in a daze. The past days had gone like a blur but i had to get ready for work.

I headed in, got changed and settled into roll call.

I noticed chen wasn't there for some reason but she came only a minute later. Her face looked pale and ill.

She came in wiping her mouth. Something wasn't right but who was i to ask. I slept with my boot, my childhood best friend. What on earth was i thinking.

Grey: "Stay safe out there y'all"

Chen was setting up the shop meanwhile i was brainstorming how i could make riding with her less-awkward.

I got in the shop and started the engine. In my peripheral vision i saw chens knee bouncing.

I was about to think it was my fault until i looked over. She had that pale, ill look on her face and it started to worry me.

Tim: "You okay?"

Lucy: "mhm i just-"

She got out of the shop to throw up.

Lucy: "that damn corner store popcorn.."

Tim: "It does suck..a lot."

She finally stopped throwing up and got back in the shop. Her face had brightened up but she still looked nervous.

Tim: "We are full staffed today. What do you say we just sit by a quiet coffee shop and just be calm?"

Lucy covered her mouth with the back of her hand.

Lucy: "sure.."

Tim: "if you're gonna be sick all the time atleast take a day."

Lucy: "I was fine this morning.."

I rolled my eyes but it was kinda funny in a way.

Lucy: "God, i think it was expired. Wait.. WHAT IF IT WAS THE LOBSTER SALAD?"

She puked 4 times after saying that. I sat in the shop holding her hair back.

Tim: "You need to go home, look i'll tell grey and i'm sure he'll let you go."

I radioed grey telling him to go to channel 9. He agreed chen needed to go home so i drove her.

It was nearly end of shift anyway so i headed back to the station.

Honestly i was worrying for no reason. It's just crappy corner store popcorn right? She wouldn't be pregnant and she was going undercover tomorrow there's no way.

I felt like calling her but i honestly doubted it. The test was negative and that was that.
