Chapter 17
"I'm bored."
"Go for a run or something than."
"But I don't wanna."
"Than be quiet."
"But I'm boreddd."
"By the moon, Lupus! I'm trying to meditate! Go bother someone else!" Lyra growled as she glared at Lupus with bright-blue eyes. The elder of the two pouted but picked herself off the ground nonetheless. The younger redhead watched her older sister walk off with a pout, Lyra's eyes rolling at the elder's childish antics.
Lupus was always the more dramatic of the twins.
"You're never any fun." Lupus murmured as she headed to the edge of their pack's territory. Her lips pursed as she stared out at the forest before her eyes brightened.
'Aunt Rigel mentioned Marley taking in a pup. I wonder what she looks like. Maybe she's playful like Marley used to be.' Lupus thought as she quickly headed towards her family's shared nest. She rummaged through her collected bits and bobbles, moving aside an elk horn and her old stick wolf effigy Marley had made for her when she was a pup, before she grabbed the shirt and joggers Jace had given her nearly 4 moons ago.
She placed the clothing in her mouth, her canines firm against them, before she shifted. She shook out her pelt with her tail wagging low and trotted out the nest and back towards the territory's edge. She looked over her shoulder, Lyra was still meditating while Canis and Pavo were wrestling about, their father watching over them.
A soft huff left her before she began her trek to Jace's cabin, not spotting her father taking note of her from the corner of his eye.

Wolves were scary, Ronan would tend to think often. Even when they weren't trying to be. They just simply were. Their aura constantly radiated power, unmatched strength, danger, even when they tried to contain it so as not to scare off other supernatural.
So when a russet colored wolf, holding a bundle of clothing in its maw, emerged from the foliage that surrounded Jace's home; you couldn't really blame the young Mer for jumping in fright. She didn't make a sound but she watched as the wolf's ears flicked when her heartbeat quickened before it lowered itself to lay on its belly.
She was just about to call out to Jace and Marley for help when she took a better look at the wolf's face. The young mer's head tilted when she saw the color of the powerful creature's eyes.
Bright Blue.
Just like Marley's wolf. And half of Rigel's.
"Y-You're related to Marley, aren't you?" Ronan stammered out and a weak smile graced her lips when she saw the wolf's ears prick forward and its tail began to wag softly.
"S-She h-has alotta family members, huh?"
The wolf let out a soft yip in agreement and shuffled a bit closer on its belly to Ronan before stopping. Ronan watched as the wolf dropped the bundle of clothes in its mouth before the sound of bones cracking and snapping was heard.
"You must be Ronan." Lupus spoke softly as she now laid on her human belly, the dirt soft and wet against her tan skin.
Ronan gave a weak nod in agreement and gulped softly when Lupus smiled at her. This wolf's fangs were much sharper than Marley's.
"I'm Lupus, Marley's big sister. Though not the eldest, thats Canis." Lupus offered and watched as Ronan's lips pursed slightly.
"You have weird names."
