While Jason fought against the titan, stabbing at his armor, working around his defense and blocking the blows of the massive sword as best as he could, Philomena stood on the chairs.

Her bow was drawn, a lead-tipped arrow in her hand as she looked for an opening to hit the titan. He was showing enough skin, really, but she didn't want to accidentally hit Jason with this arrow.

She aimed it, inhaled deeply and then decided to go for it, trusting the bow and her ability to hit home with it.

Just this time, she didn't hit her target.

The other girl had come back to her feet just in time and thrown herself onto Philomena, the arrow flying into the opposite direction, exploding in a cloud of dark gray smoke on the marble wall.

Shit, shit, shit, was all that ran through Philomena's mind as she watched the smoke disperse. She only had three arrows and now she had just wasted one for nothing.

It was true after all, a daughter of Cupid was useless in battle, no matter what gifts the gods were to give her, she would mess up and now, Jason would die because of her inability to fight.

The girl hit her in the face with her bare fist, bringing Philomena back to reality. This wasn't the time to get lost in thought, she had to fight and do what she could with the remaining two arrows.

Grabbing the girl's hair, Philomena yanked at it, successfully getting her off of herself. Once the girl no longer was above Philomena, she drew her sword and held it to the girl's face.

"Who are you?" she asked, her expression dark as she looked at the girl's gray eyes.

"Oh, please, you're too weak to kill me," was all the blonde girl replied, her response cocky but her eyes fearfully set on the sword at her throat.

Philomena moved the sword closer to the girl's throat, "I'll repeat my question only once, who are you?"

"Fine, then I'll play along. I'm Claire Marley, daughter of Athena", she smiled then, her eyes glinting, as if she knew something Philomena didn't. "Or should I say, Minerva, so that you understand me, Roman?"

This all didn't make sense.

Athena was a Greek goddess and why was this girl calling her a 'Roman' with so much disgust in her voice and as if she were something else entirely.

Claire seemed to notice her confusion to her own advantage, but she wasn't quick enough, so Philomena shifted her sword and hit her with the hilt. The blonde girl now laid unmoving on the ground and for a second, Philomena fell into panic, she didn't want to kill anybody, she just wanted to ward her off.

After a quick check, Philomena was relieved, Claire was only knocked out by the hit to her head and the daughter of Cupid hadn't killed anyone. The blood on her hands was still only her own, not this of another person.

This time, Philomnea aimed her arrow quicker and without hesitating, shot it at the titan, aiming for his back and hoping she would strike.

Which she did.

However, it didn't seem like the arrow had any effect on him. The titan fought against Jason as if nothing had happened.

So it was only natural for Philomena to wonder what she had done wrong, but she didn't give herself enough time to think.

If the arrows weren't all that effective, she would just have to help Jason as best as she could with her sword and maybe, try to hit the titan in the chest, somewhere closer to his heart (if titans even have hearts was the next arising question, but Philomena decided to ignore it).
